Yeah, we can't even post pictures in a post now. You have to upload every single thing you try to post, which can be a hassle if you just want to share a simple picture like

On a forum or whatever.

It's to enhance the security of RealGM. There's been a history of images from some sites triggering viruses. To avoid this, the admins are narrowing the list of available hosting sites. While it may be a hassle to upload pictures to Imageshack or another applicable site, it's a lot better than possibly getting a virus.

I believe this has been fixed.

Klomp says the other best. Users thought they had viruses when they did not because of bad sites and we flat out wanted to stop this.

I'm using a buddy's webspace to host my avatar and signature for years now, never had any problems. Can I keep 'em there or do I have to move them to one of the mentioned sites?

If so: tried to upload gifs at tinypics before and it never worked - not sure whether this has changed, but since both my avy & sig are gifs, I'd appreciate advice on which host to use. Thanks in advance.
