He ain't going to be a bust he is just too big and too athletic...his size alone is worth 7 boards and 5-6 points...you guys are selling drummond way short while overrating guys like Robinson

Yes, let's just look at the numbers w/o any sort of context b/c that would be a bright idea right....oh wait...

I agree. However, I don't know if we're patient enough to sit Drummond until he's ready to play. It took Bynum several years before he was a good center. Do we have that time and patience for Drummond?

Thomas Robinson would probably give us solid numbers but long-term I think he'll be an average tweener. Easy position to fill in FA. A guy like Drummond? Not so much.

We already knew he was large and athletic before the combine. The only questions that were there were about his mindset and post up ability. Which he responded to by saying he sees Kevin Durant in his game and he smiles all the time on the court to "hide his emotion"

yeah....fail

They just asked the guys who they'd take at #2 if they were Charlotte

Fran - Robinson
Chad - Gilchrist
Jay - Robinson
Penn - Trade

EDIT: they all seem to think it's between Robinson and Gilchrist, btw

We have to if we want to succeed. The Thunder traded for their big, and got pretty lucky. I don't think we'll get so lucky... And the contracts are always huge! But yeah, we need to be in the lottery again at least once way up high, and again somewhere in the range. So I'd rather draft the projects now and spend next year's pick on a more NBA ready guy, you know? Plus they'd peak around the same times, it would be most excellent.
