Morway to be fired

Postby trebone on Mon Jun 11, 2012 11:58 am

Would he be in the running or do you think we are to far along in the process? He did a great job in Indiana.

I wonder if he was really the one making the decisions or if that was bird, think i read somewhere that it was bird. If thats true, id rather take a shot on Weaver/lindsey/penn

O'Quinn will have a longer and more successful NBA career than Nicholson. Any takers?

Supposedly Bird was pissed the OJ Mayo deal fell through. he did quite a bit with the team after the Malice in the Palace

Sources say the fizzled relationship is the one of the main reasons why Bird plans to replace Morway with Kevin Pritchard as general manager once Bird agrees to a new deal with owner Herb Simon to remain as president when the two meet later this week.

Pritchard was hired to be the Pacers’ director of player personnel last summer.

It takes awhile to earn Bird’s trust and once you burn that bridge he’s done with people. That’s the case right now with Morway.

The final straw with the Bird-Morway relationship, according to those close to the two, came during training camp when the Pacers failed to land O.J. Mayo and then lost out on free agent Jamal Crawford – option No. 2 to be the team’s first shooting guard off the bench – on the same day.

This is my #1 choice, but it doesn't appear like he's in the running.

If the matter is he didnt get along with his boss(Bird), I think we can still consider he did a nice job.

And the Pacers have Pritchard to replace him, who is also a great exec, so maybe that is also a reason to let Morway go.
Why Pau Gasol dislikes Waka Flocka?
Because Flocka goes hard in the paint.

Missing out on Mayo and Crawford seems like a win to me.
