Bulls Might Not Be Done Yet!!!

Post#1 » by holv03 » Wed Jul 25, 2012 5:14 am

Hello everyone at RealGM,

I am coming here to post a couple of rumors I have heard in the past couple of days. A few weeks ago I told everyone the Bulls weren't going to match Asik even though people in the media were saying otherwise. Also I know everyone already knows that the Bulls are trying to sign Malcom Thomas but for those who don't know they are also trying to add Tracy Mcgrady to play both guard positions. The Bulls think McGrady could do a good job from the bench as a shot creator and a distributor which I would have to agree. He might not be the same player but he could still create a little bit.

The Bulls are also looking to add Patrick Beverley, Mikeal Pietrus or CJ Miles. I will update this soon because last time I heard is that the Bulls have contacted the agent of T-Mac.

UPDATE: Image

The Bulls have talked to T-Mac's agent and are also talking with Coach Thibs on how T-mac would fit and be used at Chicago. The Bulls seem to be looking for another vet who is versatile. I expect talks to keep going on but T-Mac is interested and would agree to becoming a Bull on the vet's min is all up to the Bulls to decide whether to add him or not but if they choose to add him then T-Mac will be on the first flight to Chicago.

I will be working today so hopefully I could bring some more information about this topic.

You need a source.

I have been reporting rumors for a while and the source is ESPN since I work for them. Everyone in here should know that by now even the mods.

Thanks for the info holv

T-Mac meh....

I wouldn't mind picking up Pietrus, and CJ Miles is appealing I prefer to go after Delfino over them of course but doubt we can get Delfino though.

I don't expect the Bulls to go for Delfino since he might want a little more than what we could afford. Also the Bulls decided to go for Belinelli.

Bout time they like him.... But I believe he should talk to Lakers. Time for him to get out the first round and he is not doing that here with Rose.
NBA Playoffs.... I can never wait!

Pietrus Open To Return To Celtics, Will Not Play For Veteran Minimum

Mickael Pietrus is open to a return to the Celtics, but will not sign for the veteran minimum salary.

“MP will not play for the veteran’s minimum. Period,” said Bill McCandless, Pietrus’ agent. “It’s not happening. That’s the beginning, middle and end of that. … He is not a veteran’s minimum player. There’s no chance he’ll ever sign for that.”

Pietrus signed off on the $1.22 million minimum after being waived by the Suns this past season, but the nine-year veteran has “a standing offer triple that overseas,” McCandless said.

McCandless has had serious discussions with several NBA teams, including one Monday, “and the money was much more than the veteran minimum.

“I’ve had the veteran minimum thrown at me like hubcaps,” added McCandless. “In this collective bargaining agreement, a component of any player’s wishes and desires is the money teams are willing to pay.”

For the min.? Why not?

We still need a backup PG, and T-Mac can play some minutes there.

Holv Thanks for the info

The back court is getting kind of crowded isn't it?

Kirk/backup PG/Teague
Rip/Marco/CJ Miles or TMac
Holv have you heard if they are still trying to move RIP?

even with any of those 3, miles/redd/tmac, we'd still be 6 seed at best.

The Bulls are interested in him but I know he won't sign because he wants the money that he's not worth it.

I haven't heard anything new on RIP. I think he might stay with the Bulls next year and then the Bulls are going to get rid of him the following year. He still might be a possibility to be moved by the deadline. If I get any news i'll post those up.

I am not sure but I think the Bulls are up to something with Rip Hamilton. I think he might end up being moved but I am not sure why the interest on Pietrus.

That is just agent talk, if Pietrus has an offer from oversea to make 3-4mil, take it because there are no teams in NBA that will pay him that much.

I would still like Bulls to add a defensive wing. Deng is gonna be out for few months and Jimmy is still inexperienced.

Didn't you say last week that Patrick Beverly was all but signed as a bull and yet he worked out for two other teams cuz he hasn't gotten an offer from us yet?

I'll rather just wait until a more concrete source reports this rumor cuz I'm not sold on your sources.

No offense, since you can't really source anything other than say you work for espn.

Also, I highly doubt this because we have two needs that have yet to be met and tax doesn't fill either in another big and a backup pg. And bringin in another player would only push us farther into the tax.

This isn't gonna happen, not even close to happening. Just my thoughts.

Then again maybe he's cool with the fact of being 3rd string now...

Bradley/C.Lee/J.Terry Pierce/J.Green...

He's ok with signing there? I guess why not us then...

If you don't believe him, just don't click on the thread and read what he has to say. Its really simple as that.

Thanks holv, very interesting stuff! :)

T-Mac actually makes sense this year, well he sorta did last season and didn't really the year before, but he can kind of play all of 1-3 though they have to watch who guards who. I guess what I mean is on offense he can play 3 spots, though I would say PG is easily dead last.

Pietrus - good luck, god speed to you.
