Best center who never played in the NBA?

Post#1 » by bdp31770 » Sat Aug 4, 2012 5:29 am

I'm not talking about up and coming players, I mean centers either passed their prime or retired. Who's the best international center who never played in the NBA?

Great call, I forgot about him. I grew up watching hoops in the 80's in the U.S. and only saw him passed his prime. He looks like he could have been a good backup at least, and maybe a starter. How good do you think he could have been? A better rebounding Rik Smits? A better scoring Mark Eaton? Hard to say I guess.

Kreso Cosic with out no doubt for me

Member of hall of fame, first ever europian drafted, first ever euro all american. he had offers from, celtics and lakers bud did not wannt to go there becuse the rules. he was best player of first yugoslavian golden generation. he won as best former yugoslavian player 1 olypic gold, 2 silver medals, 2 world golds, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal, 3 europian golds, 3 silver and 1 broze medal

he was also center who modernize that position in europe and was also first ever player that was used on all 5 positions. he could handle ball, pass ball and shoot ball like no other center befor him.

he was man ahed of his time

I forgot about Rashard Griffith...where does he compare with these guys? He's from the US and still active, but it looks like he'll never play in the nba.
