Best Point Guard who never played in the NBA?

Post#1 » by bdp31770 » Sun Aug 26, 2012 7:55 pm

I asked this about centers a few weeks ago and got some good replies. So, I'm more curious about the players who are retired, or about to retire, that probably could have played in the nba. Who are the best point guards that never played in the nba?

Thank you...I thought about mentioning him, though I wasn't sure if he was a point, a shooting guard, or more of a combo guard?

Theo Papaloukas - 6'7'' point guard with Rubio-like passing skills and Nash-like pick and roll play.

He is 35, so I guess he falls under your "about to retire" category!

Yeah, don´t know if Galli was a PG or an undersized SG. From recent years, probably Papaloukas (although I don´t he would have the athleticism to succeed) and Diamantidis (if given chance probably a poor man´s Jason Kidd)

Not to brag, but probably myself. 6 foot even and a tenacious defender. I'll be a fan favorite, history has shown that even the most terrible players can become fan faves if they make a great show of diving for loose balls and ineffectively sticking your hand in shooter's faces. I'm like a less athletic, six foot tall Bo Outlaw.

Galliswas an undersized SG, the best European scorer of his generation. He has a personal best of 23 assists though, but this doesn't qualify him as a PG :P

Gallis actually could play a PG. In one game that he was protesting about the late payments, he wasnt shooting at all, but he finished the game with like 20 assists. In todays game he could be a scoring PG, in a similar style with Spanoulis (I am NOT comparing them, just there roles)
