Great beatdown tonight. SMU gave us little trouble.
36,000 fans isn't bad considering the big time matchups that were on television.
Weird that we NOW have a big football banner that goes up and down the student section after a score. Feel like it came very late.
Keep padding Latavius' stats please.

That wasn't the largest crowd last night, but it was the most engaged by far.
The best tailgate day of the year as well.....no heat, no rain, no wind
UCF is playing very well.....Murray continues to impress, O-Line has stepped up, and Bortles is finding receivers.

Loved the Banner. They for about 20 min had it hanging from the parking garage next to the memory mall. What was the deal with the fake cannon on the score board? Bring back THE REAL CANNON and let ROTC bring back the tradition that we had in the citrus bowl.
Tailgate yesterday was packed and the group I was with had an amazing time. The shame is how many students were lining up for busses to go home at kickoff. Pathetic to say the least.

Yeah, the jumbotron cannon was weak. Need a real one or none at all.
Props to the barefoot kid who almost made that field goal for free room and board. So close.

The banner looked great!
I didn't get the cannon thing.....did it even have sound? If it did I didn't notice any

Yeah the fake cannon had sound. It was a horrible clip art style cannon on the big screen. The fireworks from the theme parks is louder than a real cannon was. I hear those fireworks every night; the neighbors can deal with 6-7 events a year.

UCF vs Juarez....I mean UTEP at 7 pm.
Could be a trap game.....but it better NOT be.

A win is a win.
UCF struggled against UTEP, howling winds didn't help......Murray again produces a huge TD run in the clutch with the game tied in the 4th.
8-2, nice......but that Mizzou game still destroys any credibility of the record with CUSA being such a doormat of a conference.

Re: UCF Football[8-2]: @ Tulsa
UCF opened the remodeled Sun Dome against USF, and left with a well-rounded win 74-56.
UCF, by reports, had about 2K attend.....I don't know about the amount of people, but they definitely were vocal.
The team dominated the boards, hit open shots, and just outplayed USF in almost every facet. UCF lost three expected starters before the season (Reed, Jordan, Crittle), but Sykes was amazing 26-11-8 in his first career start at PG.
I gotta say that I don't miss Jordan at all, it appears that his teammates from last year don't either. And as energetic as Rompza was, the fact is that he really did not offer very much production for his time spent on the floor.
Depth will be an issue for UCF, but great start to the year.....

The Knights seem likely to start getting coaches votes in the polls.

Sykes is going to have a special season and I hope he gets NBA scouts showing up for him.
Congrats to the women's soccer team for knocking off the Hurricanes in a shootout.
I knew the football team would have some trouble with UTEP, but they didn't panic and got the job done.
Next week at Tulsa is at noon, and our final game to close out the season at home will be at noon as well.

30th in the AP I believe, and 33rd in Coaches. I think.

16 vote points in the AP. This puts my Knights just below my Badgers at the 30th best team.
(I cannot image what I would do if Wisconsin played Cent. Fl.).

Perfect timing. UCiF hadn't won in Tampa since the 1970's.
Pretty humiliated by this loss. Not sure if Holtz has been involved with the basketball team.
Hopefully we can return the favor in Jan.

I find it hard to be excited about the season and being 2-0 considering post season play is off the table.

Yeah, but it'll still be fun watching this team be a PIA with their athleticism and length.

Agreed. I really wish Clanton had another year like Sykes. Sykes has continued his yearly development it seems and is going to have a big year. The only thing to get excited about is seeing how the players have developed from last year or how our new players are. and to watch Keith try and get some attention for the draft.
But it's going to be tough to stay interested at all 15 games in with nothing to play for but pride. I guess maybe play to get into the top 25?
