I would have preferred Pietrus, but obviously he wanted more than the vet min. I'm fine with the signing while we've got all these injuries.

I like Josh Howard. As Karch eluded...Josh was the guy we were all mad we didn't get when Ebi went. He was one of the major "shoulda coulda woulda" players always pined about during the last few KG and first few Big Al years.

He's not afraid to speak his mind, and has done some dumb stuff in the past....but it wasn't anything major (it was basically stoner rhetoric). I find it comforting someone was willing to talk and be honest about their recreational activities, as I can't imagine that it's not a norm in the NBA.

I like the signing as I think he's basically a warm body to take Bud's minutes. When Bud comes back, maybe we just let Howard go if he's causing any problems. Howard won't play the 2, but Bud did, so this boils down to AK47 getting a breather and Shved getting more minutes. I like what the signing does for our squad.

Can't get any worse then will Conroy. I can see Adelman making him a decent player again

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

No, Will Conroy is terrible. Josh Howard is merely bad.

Dissapointed. Howard looked done last season. And if they wanted a 3, not a 2 guard, why not give old pal Gomes a chance?

can't say I'm very excited about the signing, but as others have said - he is better than Conroy. If he can do nothing more than be a stopgap for 10 minutes a night, he'll be an upgrade over what we could get out of Conroy.

There's nobody out there who we could consider a contributor via FA, so Howard as a desperation bench filler is fine by me but I most definitely have low expectations for the guy. Let's just get out of tonight's game and hope that by the middle of next week we'll see Pek, Barea and Roy back.

I think he's probably about as good as Malcom Lee is at this point, only at the SF position. He'll be useful and in Adelman's offense, if he can pick it up quickly, he has some upside that he wouldn't have on other teams.

If you think Howard looked done last season, then Gomes must have looked like he was six feet underground already.

Pretty much sums it up for me. The last couple seasons looks like he can do 8 pts in 20 min, not many assists, not many rebounds. Hopefully he's not too rusty. It could be horrific.
