Huh? Last time I checked he gets a big fat check for doing those games. Being a fan has nothing to do with it.

He's been working for the MSG network for years. We will where his loyalty is when his contract runs out and the russian comes knocking at his door.

Breen is never leaving MSG on his own accord, he's a die hard Knicks fan.

Breen is a tool and a follower...

I love how being negative about the Knicks somehow viewed as "objective"--this guy is the furthest thing from objective, at best he gives the benefit of the doubt to every team, player or sentiment that opposes the Knicks, at worst he's a hater, a follower, a guy goes out of his way to go against the Knicks, I've heard other teams announcers more "objective" about the Knicks than him. He's a tool and a fraud and an ass kiss, professionally speaking, I detest him.

For the life of me i don't understand how any knick fan can not like Mike Breen, have you guys heard other announcers out there? Knicks play in Ny, new yorkers dont need a homer calling our games, i like the fact that he is objective and doesn't suck off melo jr etc every chance he gets. When he stops being objective thats when you should start to worry. Its funny how fans what him to be more of a homer, is it because we're winning now? Im sure when we stunk fans yelled way more objective things at the tv screen.

Want personal cheerleaders as your commentators or something? He could get annoying here and there but he's not as bad as some of you guys make him out to be.

I'll take some pessimism over that fool any day.

Mike Breen is easily the best announcer in the NBA. Even when he sounds negative, he's a pro. And he hasn't been negative.

"Ok, so you have Mike Breen, ok. Carmelo Anthony takes a bad shot, and what do you have? You have two options. One, you can call him out. Put it out in the open. Two, you can let it go and see if he makes up for it. Now see here, Mike Breen decides to let it go, this time around. You have Melo boarding, and you are wondering if he made the right choice. It turns out to be a great decision."

Rightfully so, you guys can say all you want about his negativity, but Breen has a very fitting voice for sports commentating.

Knicks fans complain about it, but try listening to the voices of some commentators of other teams. They make you want to watch the game on mute.

Plus, how could you not love his signature "BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Well played, Sir!

Hubie Brown > Mike Breen

That is all.

Mike Breen is the best in the business but I hear him to much. He can get annoying. But I would rather him than anyone else.

Best PBP in basketball, and he's a huge knick fan. Did you hear him sound like he exploded in his pants opening night against the Heat when he was calling it for ESPN?

Or what about his voice crack from excitement from those Kidd 3 pointers last night? He's a die hard fan with the best job in the world, my only problem with him is some times he is very critical of "bad shots" players take, but there's about 4 or so seconds left on the shot-clock, so what do you want the player to do besides chuck it up?
