Sounds good, and congrat to Magloire.
I hope he can help Jonas on his development, let me see the grey area in the NBA.

A typically uninspired move by the Toronto Raptors illustrating how out of touch they are with
Toronto's basketball fans. To describe Jamal Magloire's attitude towards the public as "aloof" is
a generous understatement. To have Magloire mentor Jonas Valancianas on offense
is to teach him predictable leaden robotic post moves that are easily defended.
They could have Aaron Grey teach him the same tactics.

Tried to come off as snarky and poignant, when you just came off as ignorant and dismissive. Nice work.

Community Ambassador? He's a bit of an ass with fans according to several posters here, that said he acts like he's above taking pictures/signing autographs.

Sorry but not a fan of Magloire.

He didn't seem to care about Canadian bball until he was washed up and needed a job.

Yes, reward the guy who refused to play for our National Team.

Colangelo's regime with another awesome money drop to someone undeserving.

As Mags basketball skill declined, his patriotism increased. Not a fan of him at all.

Um, who gives a damn what the Raptors hire him as? As long as he's not on the court being a fake tough guy we are fine.

i don't think he's a bad guy. when i was a kid my friend and i met him on the street downtown and he taught my boy how to shoot a jump hook. other than not playing for canada i think mags is a cool guy.
Sam wasn't the solution, but he wasn't the problem either

I literally nearly ran into him yesterday at Longos at MLSquare... Him and who I assume to be his girl were attempting to go down the upscalator as I was reaching the top. He is so frigging big, luckily I managed to avoid him without making contact.

I had headphones in and it was kind of awkward, so I never spoke to him .. But was wondering when he would get his role with the team.

Glad he will be still around, send him into the practice gym every once in awhile to give Jonas some licks.

And what the hell would he teach Jonas anyway? I would hope Jonas isn't learning post moves from Magloire.

Magloire was a cool dude when I met him at a bar while he was a member of the Heat. He certainly maxed out his talent and had a solid NBA career as he doesn't have a lot of raw talent. As much asva fluke as it was, not many players can put NBA All- Star on their resume.

Also, I've been hearing a lot of rumours relating to Team Canada and the politics involved which rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Apparently the best talent came mostly from the GTA but the team wanted to spread out their players across the country so there was a lot of resentment towards those in charge in the past.
