KOTB: Wolves/Cavaliers

Post#1 » by Karmaloop » Mon Nov 19, 2012 1:45 am

"If you believe all teams would accept this trade, vote yes. If you believe otherwise, vote no. Please explain your vote"

Pretty simple trade inspired by the fact that Chase Budinger is expected to miss a chunk of time.

Wolves Get:
SF Omri Casspi
2012 2nd Round Pick (only will be sent in the year that the Cavaliers receive the first round pick from Memphis, if multiple second round picks are owned worst goes to Minnesota)

Cavaliers Receive:
PF Dante Cunningham
2012 1st Round Pick (from Memphis)

WHY IT COULD WORK FOR THE WOLVES?

They just signed Josh Howard, but he's not a long term fix for their issue. Omri Casspi is another great shooter to have off the bench, and fits well with Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love. They give up a late first round pick to get him.

WHY IT COULD WORK FOR THE CAVALIERS?

Omri Casspi has already fallen out of the rotation, so moving him for another asset (a first round pick) seems like the smart thing to do on Cleveland's behalf.

That would be a big No.

Edit: Sorry, didn't explain my answer. I said "No" because the value is really terrible for the Wolves. I wouldn't consider trading Cunningham straight up for Casspi, the pick being added just makes it funny.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Cunningham has played well of late so id also say the wolves would decline. This is Derrick Williams oppurtunity to prove his worth and Josh Howard is also a servicable SF

Cunningham is the better of the two scrubs. The 1st rounder is going in the wrong direction.

KOTB: NO!!!

Cunningham is playing well right now, Casspi isnt playing. A straight up swap wouldnt even be a fair trade, asking Minny to add in a 1st for a 2nd makes it worse.

Cunningham is much better than Casspi.

Easy no for Wolves.

They like Cunningham a lot.

Yeah lol. Regarding your trade proposal I think the Cavs would definitely have some interest in Williams. What they would be willing to trade for him though I'm not sure but Chris Grant wouldn't overpay since he really hasn't proven anything yet (to be fair neither has Tristian Thomspson).
