I got no problem with Rondo keeping his streak alive---if it weren't for Bass---he'd have had 15+ assists....Not Rondo's fault, his teammates couldn't hit the easiest shots they've ever seen....and PLEASE, Trade that ass-clown Jeff Green----!

Yeah it's not like we just didn't get blown out by the 2nd worst NBA team, and have two very close games (including OT) vs the worst team in the league or anything.

We were 5-9 last year and 15-17 at the All-Star break.

Talk to me in April.

I think its pretty obvious Rondo was in there to get his 10 assists.

Doc is a player's coach and if that was the only thing that could be salvaged out of the mess today, I guess he went with it.

I'm not so worried about the Rondo record thing as it doesn't have any real meaning. I'm more worried about how we just lost to Detroit.

Looks like we are going to have to strap in for the long term as the short term is going to be very up and down.

Who wants to bet we end up beating the Spurs or something crazy like that?

When a player performs worse than their contract obviously the return value won't be worth trading them in the first place.. Just need to keep crossing our fingers and hoping Jeff comes around.

That's why it's stupid what he did today, he cared more about getting 10 assists than about the game

The entire team played with no energy and we were down quite a bit even when the 4th started. His "statpadding" had nothing to do with the game's outcome

Never said that it did, in fact if we had hit the shots in the 2nd quarter he would've gotten to 10 easily, he left people wide open and they just missed

I just don't think that with the game already over you should just go search for the stats that you're missing, it's not a big deal and it's not like I now hate Rondo and he's still my favorite player in the NBA, I just don't like what he did today, simple as that

Are you seriously gonna act like Rondo wasn't blatantly playing for assists the entire 4th quarter? He was only in the game to keep the streak alive, I don't see how you could have watched that and thought otherwise. Win or lose, that completely cheapens the accomplishment to me and he deserves to get his streak broken.

We probably will, and then everyone will be back here saying how good we are, and then three weeks later we'll lose to a crappy team and everyone will act like the sky is falling again and will get on Doc's case for letting Rondo continue his assist streak.

Not to mention the Celtics had a more stabilized core rotation last year. This year, all kinds of new key players are being worked in. It's going to take time... it's not even a month into the season yet. The Celtics will be ok.

I said stop acting like he cared about his stats more than the game. The game got away from us and he padded. I admitted it already.

this Rondo's streaks thing is ridculous. i'd rather want Rondo get 30+ assists in one game than 50+ assist streaks

i always think Doc is overrated. Jason Terry used to score 15+ points each game, now he just.....
Doc's system doesnt suit every player, i hate how Terry doing the exact thing as Ray used to play. that's not how Terry would play.

I don't think he cared more about the streak than the win, but it's obvious after tonight that he's always going to have the streak in the back of his mind instead of just letting it come in the flow of the offense. It just makes it a lot less impressive to me with games like this.

The streak wasn't that impressive in the first place. I SAID that when I made the GB thread about it. Its an interesting tidbit that no one will remember in 20 years until some other PG threatens it. Its fun and its not hurting us in anyway. People are just being whiny

LOL.

Terry is 11 games into a season with a COMPLETELY new team. Stop it. And for God's sake; the guy just dropped 20 yesterday.
