No surprise you come in here to nitpick Monroe's 20/13/3 game.

No. He had a great game.

Just something I've noticed over the season. It's just weird. It was a huge part of his game that has mostly disappeared.

Yeah, but he's not even really going for them. And his ORB% stat isn't punished for the team making a lot of shots.

Just unusual is all.

Also, we shot 54% and it felt like everything was going in. When that happens it's tough to get offensive rebounds. Put Drummond with him and we will be one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the league.

Just read the celtics board, apparently we didn't play well, Celtics just played down to us. In other words we made the celtics play our game and couldn't get into theirs. They became a jump shooting team, and AD1 had a lot to do with it.

Personally i liked the win, i didn't like the lineups but they seemed to work a little better. its always encouraging when we can get a lead , hold it or increase it. Great defense and we were knocking down shots

Before i used to dread watching Daye play, not knowing if he was going to be great or stink. I am starting to enjoy see daye enter the game, as it means we've already won.

When the shots fall it changes everything...
Positives = JMax's midrange game, Singler's diversity, Tay looking consistent, Dre making an impact, G.M. all around game, Knight's D on Rondo, Rotating the ball and finding the open man, keeping the big 3 in check.
Negatives= Knight out of control, T.O's

i think that tends to happen when guys go from purely hustle players who don't get plays called for them, to central pieces of an offense. Same thing happened to David Lee.

If the Pistons could subtract Bynum and Jerebko from the rotation, they'd be a better team. They're close to having a decent rotation now that Maggette is back and Stuckey has volunteered to lead the bench. If they could role with that 8 man rotation, I wouldn't be surprised by above .500 play the rest of the way.

He might have a soft spot for undersized guys who give all they got to overcome their size considering he himself is like 5'7 or 5'8. Just like how Joe D has a soft spot for players with a "southern work ethic" like his own, apparently.

Never thought of it that way......having all these expirings could be the worst thing to happen to us in a long time:

1) Dumars uses the cap space to overspend on guys that make us worse (CV and BG part II)

or

2) Dumars sees this as a great opportunity to extend Maxiell, Maggette, and Bynum for 4 years each!!

Another problem I have with the rotations is the overall minutes. Frank always seems to wait 2 or 3 minutes too long to bring the starters back in. Moose had an ultra efficient 20/13/3 but yet he only got 31min. Prince led in minutes with 33. Knight/Monroe/Prince should all be around 36-38min per game. Oh and Drummond too

Yeah this will be a big summer. Dumars should only sign a young starting wing if he can and a good 6th or 7th man. Other than that he should save the money to resign Monroe, Knight, and Drummond. He doesn't need to swing for the fences this summer.

I won't be surprised when Dumars extends Max. He is by no means an NBA level starter, but he has played relatively well. Maggete is a blackhole, and Bynum is just...ok. I think we can get a better backup though.

Honestly depending on the development of Krav. Max more than likely will be extended. i don't think most of us would have a problem with it if its a good contract like tays and Rodney's. I don't wouldn't mind max as a PF off the bench

The problem I have with Maxiell is why wasn't he playing like this a few years ago? Its obvious he's only trying this hard because its a contracts year. He's Chris Wilcox pt 2 imo. I wouldn't resign him mainly because I don't want to give Frank any chance to give Drummonds min to him, but also I think he will go back to lazy Maxiell once he gets his new contract. I'd prefer to trade him this year before Joe even can consider resigning him, and maybe get a draft pick out of it. The way he's playing, I could see an desparate contender like BOS or SA giving up a late 1st for him to add a big to their bench for one more run.

Next year I want to see Drummond starting and Kravtsov backing him up, wand maybe pick up a new backup PF in FA on a short term deal.

Believe or not, Max has quite a bit of value because of his contract, the amount to resign him probably won't be absurd and production wise he produces. i would rather have Krav backing him up however it doesn't seem Krav is close to ready.

I really don't fault max for any other year besides the one year after his contract, our coaching situation was so horrid and its tough to go out there and sacrifice your body and energy for 2 POS coaches and crappy teams. Max also played well last year which many ppl forget. We could pick up a FA PF to back up Moose, but i think bang for buck wise, we'll get more out of max.
