This Royce White situation is interesting. I don't feel sorry for the guy. He's rich, if the anxiety issue was that big of a problem, he has the resources at his disposal to help him. And after reading what he did while in college, there's a history there that suggests he may not just have anxiety.

Part of the issue is he is not using the resources being provided to him(therapist).

The Spurs bring-back James Anderson, he is someone we should have taken a look at.

I'm curious to know which 5 teams rank at the top in each of those Four Factors, and which at the bottom.

I am assuming -- without risk, I'm sure -- that we're squarely in the bottom 5 of each. Does anybody have the data?

Could Bynum's career be over by 25? That Philly trade has to rank amongst the worse in NBA history.

Bynum needs to cut that mop off his noggin'

It is probably putting excess strain on those knees of his

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

I have to say, if the Wizards want to take a gamble, we could try to clear some cap before the trade deadline (dealing Okafor and Ariza) and have max capspace this offseason and offer a large part of it to Bynum.

Go into next season with a top-3 pick (let's just say Muhammed), a healthy roster and the addition of Bynum...

Wall/(Livingston?)
Beal/Crawford
Muhammed/Singleton
Nene/Booker/Vesely
Bynum/Seraphin

That team, if healthy, could do some nasty things on the basketball court. We're talking top-2 team in the Eastern Conference with room to grow!

The caveat here is that Bynum is injury prone and seemingly disinterested in actually being an NBA player. Would I personally take the gamble on him if I had the capspace? Probably not, but it's interesting to think about.

No thanks to Bynum. Not even a question for me now with his injury history

It would be an interesting gamble.

But when was the last time a gamble worked out for us?

Orlando was blown-up and stripped-bear yet they look respectable.

Agreed. I'd much rather gamble on Cousins than Bynum.

Gasol reportedly benched down the stretch of a recent LAL game. What about Gasol to TOR for Bargs+Calderon? The Lakers get a 3pt shooting big for D'Antoni's offense, plus saves some luxtax dollars next summer. Toronto gets a true post presence as they continue to try to remake their team.

Man, I know Gasol is bad on defense, but adding Calderon + Bargs as main rotation players just makes me laugh (and the coaches cry) defensively speaking. They would have Nash, Calderon, Bargs, and Jamison in the rotation, though at least they would be closer to being able to play SSOL.

^ Hey, it would be a great chance for Dwight Howard to earn his money on defense! :D

The Hornets are changing their name to The Pelicans replacing the Wizards as worst team name in the NBA.

Return to Washington Wizards
