1) Not only they have no Dirk, Marion is out this week too.
2) Because of that their D is suspect. Knicks got a lot of easy point of backdoor cuts (good news for AK) and generally were able to generate good looks without much pressure.
3) To piggyback on previous point, Mayo and Collinson are below average defenders individually and Crowder while being above average is a rookie and prone to mistakes.
4) A lot of turnovers. Collinson and Mayo are new to the team and it shows. Mayo is also just not a smart player in general.
5) Their offense is better than their defense, but not by that much. They have no post presence other than Kaman, Mayo was carrying them by being hot from three, but that is not sustainable.

Boom! Weak-ass Mavs.

If Rubio broke his hand in the same way Love said he did it, no one would be questioning it. Love clearly just rubs some posters here the wrong way.

Rubio punching somebody?

Impossible.

Obviously sarcasm doesn't come across when quoting, even with the wink.

Stupid injuries.

Seems like the best case scenario is 5-5 right now.

Watched some Denver-Memphis last night and it gave me hope.

Nuggets look like a team ready to quit on their coach.

Revised predictions with Love:

23 @ Portland – This one is for Roy. Also they have no bench. (W)

24 @ Golden State – We owe them one. Clay Thompson is a bust.(W)

27 @ Sacramento – They are a mess. (W)

28 @ L.A. Clippers – Clippers are deep and good. Again too much talent, plus it's a 2nd of a b-2-b and the last game of a long road trip. (L)

30 vs Milwuakee – Should bounce back at home. (W)

They need at least 10 wins in November to be on pace for 50 wins and firmly in the playoffs by the end of the season.

This losing stretch is brutal AND it's going to cost the team in the long run.

Thompson was balling tonight and Sacramento just beat the Lakers. No easy games on this trip

He will be bawling his eyes out on 24th.

And no defense was played in that SAC-LAL game.

-much

I would be happy if we can win 1 game on the road and the Bucks game at TC.

That's because you're meek and used to losing. Only teams Wolves should be aware off in the West are the Spurs, Clippers, Nuggets, Jazz, Thunder and Grizz. The rest of the conference are shorthanded, can't defend, have no bench and poorly coached. That's not to say the Wolves can't lose to them, you can lose at any given night in the NBA, but they are favorites.

As a soccer Barcelona FC fan let me say to you that if you want to win it's important to win at the end, not the bored and dark games of November. The world is full of loser teams who had played really good at the beginning of the season.

One problem of the last season team was the Ricky-dependency. I had thought this year could be distinct, but I'm starting to think that the best moment of the team will be from February.

Finally, it's something usual that the fans of the worst teams of the last season to have a erection if his team does a good start at the next season, but .... cof, cof, cof ... What is the English word for "gatillazo"?

What's soccer? Is that like a longer sock?

I don't know how you do it in Spain, but the way good teams do it in the NBA is to bang out as more wins as possible early, so you can coast a bit in the middle of the season and have some buffer in case injuries strike. Then you start going hard again by the end of the season to be in top form for playoffs.

14 vs Charlotte – (W)
16 vs Golden State - (W)
21 vs Denver – (L)
23 @ Portland – (L)
24 @ Golden State – (L)
27 @ Sacramento – (L)
28 @ L.A. Clippers – (L)
30 vs Milwuakee – (L)

I think the Wolves have a hard time with athletic teams, especially at the guard positions. That puts you at a disadvantage against Denver, Portland, Sacramento, and the Clippers. Not to mention, as great as it is to have Love back, its going to be a process to work him into a team that has been playing together without him for a while now. I think by the end of the month it will be worked out. But that still won't solve the guard problem.
