That's definitely true, they have some great passers on that team but it's the PG penetration that's changed everything for them. Also for all those fans that wanted Josh Smith. Oddly enough he's turned to be a far better SF than PF. The Hawks put Pachulia in the mid-range and Horford does the same while Smith simply posts up everybody else, creating huge opportunities for teammates. In addition he's a great passer so that helps ball movement.

His rebounding against SFs is exceptional.

A very odd player, but a game-changer in the right circumstance. Also the Hawks are proving another model wrong, you don't necessarily need to have 3 point shooting, you just need spacing and it can be accomplished from the mid-range.

except the hawks have a clearly worse offense than we do. they are 14th in the league while were 9th, without nash. the difference is there defense is top 5 in the league and ours isnt.

Has nothing to do with our offense. The Lakers were never the subject of discussion.

Also the fact that one lineup works well doesn't mean they'll be an overall better offense than L.A.

yeah but josh smith blows as an offensive player so hes actually not being as productive as you think.

hes an okay defensive player though ill give him that.

and you mentioned "proving the model wrong" and being successful without 3pt shooters so i thought you were comparing them to the lakers.

Melo isn't even a top 5 player in the league.

You really just come off as a self aggrandizing douche bag with posts like this. Generalize much? Perhaps you should worry less about Knicks fans and instead focus more on the flaming hunk of **** that is your own team.... or you can just keep lashing out at other fans because mommy and daddy didn't give you enough attention as a child. Choice is yours.

More amusing than some Knick fans are some fans of other teams that are lurking the Knick board and once they see some Knick fans make odds statements , take those statements out of context and make fun of it on their own board while completely ignoring the context.

If you took a proper look at that thread instead of just taking a quick look at the poll results you'd CLEARLY notice that 99% of Knick fans CLEARLY said that Howard is easily the better player. On top of that , going by replies it seemed that at least 65% would trade Tyson for Howard in a heartbeat and the others wouldn't do it due to chemistry/leadership issues (which can't be understated in winning games) not because they believe Tyson is the superior player.

I'm also pretty damn sure that a bunch of fans from other teams go on these polls and make the odd vote just to ridicule Knick fans.

Charlie Villanueva is playing well for Detroit. He's a good fit in L.A. next to Dwight and Hill. He's a much better rebounder than Bargnani and won't be expensive to obtain.

If you don't want to read my comments then stay the hell out of the Lakers board. Here is some advice. Don't go to other teams boards if you don't want to hear bad things about your team. You don't see me me go to a Knicks board and talk **** about the Knicks.

I'm a fan of both teams so I read posts from both boards regularly and I frequently call out fans on both boards for making ridiculously generalized statements. So until you stop doing that, don't expect to not be called out as the ignorant troll that you truly are. Cheers

Tasp wrote:Watching the Knicks game yesterday, they basically run the MDA 1 4 spread pick and roll. With a half decent pointguard like Felton, you can see how the floor spacing is excellent. Also, look at how they move the ball, it doesn't stagnate. Lakers players should be watching the Knicks to see how to correctly run this offense.

Good thing is this offense seems to be an Achilles of the Heat, because it offers so many open three pointers and the Heat are ranked 7th worst at defending the 3.

We don't run D'Antoni's offense. Iso's, back screens and post up's are a part of this offense. We are one of the slowest paced teams in the NBA as well. We did not have Melo for that game against Miami that why you saw none of our post ups. JR, and Felton did have some iso's though. We may take a lot of threes, but this is not SSOL.

His response was no where near as ill intent as you made it out to be but thats why I find your response so funny. I applaud you for having the cajones to get personal on another teams board and not getting a warning or suspension over it. Bravo sir, bravo.

Not the place for it but I wish the General board was more like this. Its already a dump as far as basketball discussion go so I'm not sure why its so dictatorish.

But why are you making things up? Knick fans living under a veil of perpetual ignorance? Them thinking Anthony is better than Lebron and Chandler is better than Howard? You want to believe that so much that you don't bother checking in any detail about what is really being said. The vast majority of Knick fans realize that James is better. Heck, we just had a recent discussion where most agreed that Durant is also better. The majority take is that Anthony is in the top 5 THIS SEASON. Same with the vast majority realizing that Howard is a better player than Chandler and that they WOULD trade Chandler for Howard pretty quickly if given the chance. Really don't understand why people need to make things up to ridicule and generalize another teams fans. Does it make you feel better?

Ramon Sessions might be available for Jordan Hill. When Pau gets back that deal could be a possibility.

Both Clippers and Warriors win again tonight, helping the Lakers dig that hole much deeper. Lakers now trail LAC by 7 games and GSW by 6.
