Wizard's colors: anybody else tired of the red and white?

Post#1 » by Knighthonor » Thu Dec 13, 2012 2:22 am

I am really getting tired of the red and white. Maybe it's because I like the blue they use to have, because it remind me of the Gil era.

Something about the current color scheme seem to give me a not so comfortable feeling.

Doesn't really look cool.
Would like blue and gold honestly.

I like doughnuts, unless they are filled with jelly.

Me to. Unless the jelly is apple flavored. I like those.

Wizards go back to the old logo, and blue and gold. That would rock.

I love the new color scheme.

Just don't care for the name.

On an utterly random and surely unrelated note, I just discovered that putting someone on your ignore list does not prevent you from seeing threads they've created.

Well to be honest, I also would like the team to change the name as well. What you had in mind?

Maybe Paladins.

DC Paladins.
Gold and Blue color. Seem rocking.

Actually I was thinking this recently. I am a bit tired of the new uniforms.

I would have liked to see us go Blue, White, Red instead of Red, White, Blue. I like the blue they have used, I think it needs to be the dominant colour though. Too many red teams.

They should make an alt-uni with blue as the main colour.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Then change the name back to Bullets and we're good to go.

Really, what is the deal with them staying with "Wizards"?? Hasn't that politically incorrect nonsense been over long enough? Lightning kills more people in the state of Florida than the rest of the country combined, but you dont see any idiot politicians lobbying to get Tampa Bay to change names? Plus we all know Uncle Ted is all about the $$.. What better way to pad his pockets than to go back to the Bullets?? Make 90% (maybe more) of the fan base happy and sell a crap load of merchandise in the process.. Win/Win??

Yes but that would be the right decision and that goes against Leonsis' principles.

Maybe we would all feel differently if the franchise was heading in a different direction i.e. not down the tubes.

I haven't worn Wizards gear in public in about a year. I've held off from buying a new jersey for even longer.

I liked those throwback orange and navy blue uniforms, although I think I may be the only adult human who likes orange. :)

This:

I HATED those blue and brown atrocities they wore the past few years. Those road unis were bad. That blue always looked to me like they got whatever mix of leftover dye the manufacturer had left. Not dark, not light, not medium...just dull.

I've never been a fan of the red and white with horizontal stripes, either. I'd be fine with a classic look with navy, gold and white as the colors.

So yeah, I think the team needs: new management, new coaches, new players, new name, new uniforms.

Yes. I was annoyed that in the process of Ted's rush to "Caps-ify" the Wizards, he adopted that same navy blue, as opposed to the royal blue of the team's heyday.

I liked the orange too, but they look terrible on white guys.
