Nothing but sweetness out of the deal, right? I think it would be a perfect move for Houston to make.

How many mediocre PFs does one team need?

I'm disappointed I wasn't included in this post. Knew Mo was going to knock that shot down before he even took it. 8-)

Crazy to think Mo Williams is still living off the contract that Larry Harris inked him to.

I'm sure he loved that player option.

I wonder if he sends a Christmas present to Larry every year.

@SamAmicoFSO: Kings are very open to moving some of their nice young pieces. Willing trade partner with assets.

We've talked about Tyreke Evans for a long time.

But maybe they are ready to bail on Demarcus Cousins now too?

in completely unrelated news, and with apologies if it's already been posted, some news from our friend steve jackson.

Can't believe we ever traded for this guy, for any reason... unreal.

Carmelo deciding to have a quiet first quarter against the Lakers with a lazy 22 points on 8-9 shooting.

Good to see another Lakers beat down tonight.

That teams outlook will change when Nash gets back. But hopefully they will be too buried to recover.

I hate referees in all sports that do the crap that just happened in the Blazers game.

Parker went in for a layup and lost the ball on the way up, the ref called a foul on Batum. You **** up once, don't compound the mistake by giving him a technical when he reacts to your **** call.

Carmelo has been my favorite player to watch this year. I love how the guy has transformed his game. He's got that look that he will stop nothing short of a championship this season.

The guy is just plain unguardable.

He's been on a mission. It's good to see the Knicks formidable this season given Sandy and everything else.

Paul George is another guy who is starting to realize his potential as a swing, he's been beasting lately last 5 games

34 points, 22 points, 22 points, 17 points, 27 points.

24.4 points 7.6 rebounds 3.8 assists 1.4 steals 51% from the field 53 percent from 3 over the last 5

19 points 6.4 rebounds 4 assists 1.3 steals 46.1% from the field 46.4% from 3 over the last 10.

Kids an All-Star talent, Indiana will be pretty formidable at the swingman position if Granger is 100 percent when he returns. Plus he plays elite defense, probably the 2nd biggest reason other than Hibbert that Indiana has by far the best field goal defense in the NBA.

Lakers now 4-9 under D'Antoni. They wouldn't make the Playoffs in the D-League.

I thought they looked better in New York and seem to be finding their way. Obviously there are some trades in their future, but they're getting it together. Howard has to be better and they could use some health at point guard.

They looked better after Carmelo went out. Shocking.

I was debating it at first but its a given that I go see the Blazers when they play the Bucks. Damian Lillard is for real. He looks like he might be better than Jennings already.

Antawn Jamison has been completely exposed for being a worse defender than Charlie Villanueva.

They are starting Chris Duhon as PG.

Now Dwight Howard wants to tell everyone that he is still hurt.

It might be too late by the time Nash & Gasol come back.

Don't disagree with any of that, but I don't think it's too late. The Lakers are simply looking to get it together and make the Playoffs. Seed doesn't really matter that much and no doubt they will have another major roster shake up as D'Antoni seeks players that fit better.

Dwight may or may not still be hurt, but either way he's not himself yet.

All just growing pains imo. That said, they can't lose to the Wizards tonight who will be an interesting test. Young and scrappy and looking to make a mark... could send the Lakers further down if they're not careful.
