We're off to our 3rd strongest start in Franchise History;
We're currently at 17-5 overall after 22 games of play. It's been a long time coming, but we've just witnessed one of the greatest starts to a season this franchise and/or fan base has ever seen.
Tonight's victory over the Los Angeles Lakers surpassed our Knicks of 1993-1994, who started off 16-6 after 22 games of play. Those Knicks of 1993-1994 ended up going 57-25 overall before losing to Hakeem Olajuwon and the Rockets during game 7 of the NBA Finals.
This only leaves both the Knicks of 1969-1970 and the Knicks of 1972-1973 in which have gotten off to a stronger start when compared to these Knicks of 2012-2013.
Knicks of 1969-1970 got off to a 23-1 start. By the time they had 5 loses they were 27-5 overall after 32 games. The greatest start to a season in franchise history.
Knicks of 1972-1973 got off to an 18-4 start after 22 games. By the time they had 5 loses, they were at 25-5 overall.
Knicks of 69-70 finished 60-22 overall. A winning percentage of .732%. Ended up as NBA Champions.
Knicks of 72-73 finished 57-25 overall. A winning percentage of .695%. Ended up as NBA Champions.
Not to get ahead of myself but as a fan base, we could be on the verge witnessing our greatest regular season in franchise history. We're currently featuring a winning percentage of .773% (17-5). Only the Oklahoma City Thunder feature a better record (18-4). I'll start to dream of an NBA Championship once the playoffs are under way, but as of right now I'm really anxious to see if our Knicks of 2012-2013 can break our franchise record for most wins during a single season, which is currently at 60 (set by the Knicks of 69-70 and 92-93).
As I stated during the offseason, we were on the verge of featuring our strongest Knicks team dating back to our throwback Knicks of 1993-1994.

I really like it over there. Gives me a chance to talk Knicks basketball. But me and TKF have been going at it. The biggest Melo critic I've ever seen. It's wild. But yea, I like it over there, lots of good people but this place will always be my home deep down inside. Just wanted to stop by and say hey. Why was I waived? For going off topic during a thread (or two). I believe the real reason was due to back seat modding. Just cared about this place and wanted to stand up for it. I was wrong, should have never stepped on toes in regards to backseat modding. But yea, just wanted to say hey with some good news.

My time is coming soon. Maybe in less than 5 minutes. I can feel it. No longer welcomed here. Just know that, before the plug is pulled on me? That I was only here to support our Knicks and talk basketball amongst our fan base. Sorry to the mods and posters who took me a little too serious.

I love that site because they have all of daily articles in one place.
I haven't actually signed up to post on that site though but I really enjoy some of their posters.

Hey, long time lurker and occasional poster. I've always enjoyed your perpetual optimism even if I didn't always agree. I think as Knicks fans, we can all enjoy the run we've had this season and hope that it continues. I'm tired of other people still playing the "this season is young" card - this team is for real.

Thanks for the kind words. During the offseason I had my moments when I went off the deep end due to frustration. Frustration due to so much negativity during a time where we were enjoying one hell of an offseason. We've built one hell of a team moving forward. The sky is the limit with this team. 17-5 overall without Shumpert, Stoudemire and Camby? Scary.

Its funny how so many of the die-hard posters here chose to give up on the team before we became one of the league's best. I mean.. you suffer through Layden and Isiah's BS for nearly a decade, and THIS is the team that puts you over the edge?

There's something about an underdog that really inspires the unexceptional.

Just because people don't come on here doesn't mean they've given up on the team. Knicks fandom doesn't revolve around RealGM. I would imagine a lot of the older posters are just taking a cautious, less fanatical perspective. And for those that did have enough... they're not welcome to come back here now are they?
If TKF came on here and showed some new found excitement and optimism for what's been going on.. what would happen to him? Even last year when the team found success with Linsanity after a depressing start and TKF felt energized about the team he was attacked left and right.. and who stood up for him and his right to enjoy the team because after all the guy has been a Knicks fan for 30 years? It was me... even though he had just suspended me and we were at each others throats at the time. If guys come on here and have spent significant time on here.. chances are we're Knicks fans... all of us. And we have the right to criticize, the right to not feel as good about the team and the right to tell the team to piss off if we want to. The thing guys don't realize is that the older posters that were on here had been through so much crap over the decades... and every man has a threshold... thresholds were reached.. guys lost their minds and lost interest. It happens.. doesn't mean they're not Knicks fans,
