John Wall to NOLA!

Post#1 » by Cashin out » Sat Dec 15, 2012 6:14 am

Wizards trade: Wall/Nene
NewOrleans trade: Vasquez/Anderson/1rd pick top 3 protected

Wizards gets: Vasquez/Anderson/top 3 pick lottery protected
NewOrleans gets: Wall/Nene

Wizards get hometown hero Grevis Vasquez, and a young up and coming pf Anderson, they also get NewOrleans most likely lottery pick top 3 protected.

NewOrleans gets a young star pg to pair with Davis/Rivers for the future, and they get a vet center Nene to help mentor Anthony Davis.

Hmmm, interesting idea. I think I like this for noh. Little concerned about salaries with Gordon, nene and resigning wall, but looks good.

If you expand the trade to include CHI and make it look like this:

WSH gets Deng, Anderson, Vasquez, CHI 1st unprotected
NO gets Okafor, Ariza, Wall
CHI gets Gordon

then MAYBE you have a shot to get Wall.

I don't think Washington should trade Wall or Beal, They should trade anyone and everyone else but keep those 2 and build from there.

Vasquez and Anderson are nice and the pick is nice but Wall is a #1 pick talent, Washington would be trading a dollar for 50 cents + 2x 25 cents, bad idea imo.

This deal is terrible for Washington. What are their rebuild plans after this, draft and hope for the best?
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Interesting concept, but agree with the others in that NOH has to add more. Nene isn't a "we need to send out a former #1 pick to dump him" contract, and while Wall is flawed, he's still immensely talented and someone many teams would pay dearly to get their hands on.

Still, the deal isn't irredeemable. I'd think if NOH was willing to part with Rivers and/or Gordon then a deal could be struck even if a 3rd team needed to get involved.

I don't like it at all for Washington. Wall is still the face of the franchise going forward for now, and Greivis Vazquez is certainly not. What if NOH gets a top-3 pick this year? Then what do the Wiz do?

Absurd to think Washington trades Wall, probably the point guard with the most upside in the league. Wall is a franchise player, you don't trade those, especially not for roleplayers.

Wall has too much potential. 16/4/8 in his first two years. They got rid of idiots (mostly), he'll have a chance to grow.

Now if NO wants to add in Anthony Davis for Jon Vesely instead of the pick, then we can talk.

Surprisingly I'm saying no too. I don't want Wall, his lack of shooting touch scares me. Ryno's impact + contract make him fairly untradable too for Hornets fans, we just got a bargain for 4 years, we want to keep.

It's unrealistic to think that NOLA can get Wall for a protected pick. Unprotected or bust (giggity).

Wizards will not trade Wall. Not when we are still yet to see a Wall/Beal back court.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.
