CCJ your prayers were answered.I wasn't a Mack supporter, but if we see an improved Mack it will be further evidence that we should have sent Jan to the NBDL from the jump, or at-least for much of his bench-warming time.

That was the right thing, closg00. They never should have cut that kid in the first place.

Shelvin defended well, managed the game without turning it over, and two straight Final Fours is a testimony to his competitiveness. I thought he would do well in the D-League and end up either in Europe with a good deal or on another NBA team.

I thought it would have made more sense to start Mack with Beal than to search for guys who have been second-string for years. Price has impressed me for the most part but in preseason neither he nor Pargo outplayed Shelvin. Shelvin is all of 23 and he's already solid off the bench. You don't see teams like he Warriors cut Cedric Jenkins. He's around the caliber of player Mack is.

Good for the Wizards, closg00! I think we should do right by people and that guy didn't deserve to be waived. They also showed some wisdom bringing Shelvin back.

James Anderson is back with San Antonio. Some guys don't set the world on fire right away but they are solid role players. Mack is in that category.
Bye bye Beal.

Looks like I was wrong. What a complete joke of an organization.

I don't care how it looks. To admit a mistake is a sign of humility, not humiliation, as far as I am concerned. TheBigThree, things like trading for Okafor and Ariza when it didn't benefit ANY of the young bigs on this team concern me more than waiving Mack and bringing him back. It makes sense to me.

The lesson is veteran doesn't mean better. Price played well in preseason but no way should Pargo have made the squad over Mack. What the Wizards did was REMEMBER SHAUN first from before and bring him back. This time around Livingston didn't bring it, so they let him go. At the same time, Mack got D-League performer of the week and his team was winning.

I understand the move, totally.
Bye bye Beal.

[Chorus 2:]
Return of the mack,
Once again,
Return of the mack,
Top of the world,
Return of the mack,
Watch my flow,
You know that I'll be back,
Here I go.

So, I'm back up in the game,
(Running things like my swing),
Lettin' all the people know,
That I'm back to run the show
,
Cause what they didn't know was wrong,
And all the nasty things you've done,
So, baby, listen carefully,
While I sing my comeback song.

This kind of thing makes my day. The Wizards announce the Return of the Mack! :)

If they bring back Morris Almond with that other spot, I don't know what I will do. All they did was win with Mo on the roster. Call him Tebow of Denver in the regular season--all he did was win.
Bye bye Beal.

I do think Mack will be better this time around. Although lacking in quickness, if Mack can be a more aggressive scorer now, it might mitigate his slowness. I want to see more confidence.

Yep. Confidence and even playing with an attitude or a chip would be welcomed.

Most of all, Shelvin is steady. I want to see him, and NOT Crawford at PG. Jordan surprised me with some things he has grasped at PG and he's better for it, but he's still not as effective at PG as Price or Mack IMO.
Bye bye Beal.

The ability to watch that video in context w the team may be the best thing that's happened all season.

This signing is proof that EG reads REALGM.

I believe that they do read this board, I think that is why we gave Almond a try; Pure conjecture on my part :)

I give them credit because they are trying.

I promise you they know WE CARE.

I also am serious that the Wizards can turn things around fairly quickly with a few savvy moves. They just need to listen to collective voices of reason. Guys like Nivek and even an often dissenting critic, Dat, know what they're talking about. All EG has to do to get his job right is to listen to them, nate, and the rest of us. Our consensus of opinions is about as good as it gets.
Bye bye Beal.

With all due respect CCJ, I think you're wrong that this is a good sign.

Seriously, cutting a player before the season begins, especially a second year guy like Mack (which, at the time I was vehemently against), indicates that your FO didn't think he's going to grow into a player that can play in your system. I'm sure it's not something they did lightly (based on Cassell's quotes, etc).

Bringing him back is further evidence that EG clearly has no idea what he's doing, and anyone heralding this move (from a competitive standout this is a no brainer, he shouldn't have been cut) is flat out missing the point.

Yeah, admitting your mistake is nice, but it's just another piece of evidence that EG is making things up as he's going along.
