I teach kids that age every week. :nonono: I'll never understand how someone could do something like this. I don't want to start a massive debate here too, but gun control laws need to be changed in the US.

This is incredibly sad. How low can one be to kill so many very young children? Not like I want to compare lives to lives but that's probably as worse as it can be.

R.I.P. you innocent little children.

Rain and ice. Yuck. The county CodeRed Emergency system actually called us earlier to tell us not to get out on the roads. Hwy 2 around Bemidji is closed. Looks like it is going to start turning over to snow shortly.

Yeah, I had an appointment this morning to get new winter tires put on my car. I went about 300 ft on the highway and turned around. I was fish tailing at 15 mph. Definitely a day to stay inside.

Marshall roads are no better. They were more slushy this afternoon with it snowing and temps around freezing (snow was melting when it hit the ground), but nobody plowed so the slush turned to ice. Roads are nasty

No, not that much I think. I, on the other hand, can't really understand people saying that it's very difficult to drive in winter weather. Adjust your speed and be extra careful and you'll most likely be fine.

Yeah, it's a talent as much as common sense is a talent. Then again, only 10% of the population uses it so maybe it is.

It's really difficult for some people to not drive 70mph, even on ice. I mean they have to actually pay attention to what they are doing all the way home. It's tiring, you know.

Happy Holidays!

Enjoy your family, and all the NBA games you can get away with!

Really? That's gonna be a tough one. I've always gone to the games no matter what but playoff football around here doesn't happen often. Hmm....

i dropped my laptop and now the screen has colorful lines stretched vertically on the right side. i can actually play with the colors by sliding my fingers across the screen.

fortunately i have my old laptop still. i just need a text editor and web browser, so i'll just mark this under first world problems.

Your laptop is going crazy if it gets those kinda stripes on the screen for no apparent reason at all. My old one just had one vertical yellow stripe roughly in the middle of the screen and it just popped up one fine day. I kinda got used to it after a few days, though. Not sure for how long I still used that laptop but it must have been at least 18 months until it finally gave up. Or I gave up because technically it's still working but I'd lose many braincells and my blood pressure would rise every time I'd use it.
