Why would Boston do that?Im sure Rondo can get a lot more than that.

I like Rondo and would love to have him in Orlando, but I would NOT give up Vucevic for any player right now, let alone giving him up with Harkless AND Redick.

No, just plain no.

That makes no sense for Boston. He's a top 10-15 player. And you're pretty trading him for young pieces.

Plus, as a Magic fan.... I wouldn't take Rondo now given the fact the team is rebuilding. Rondo is turning 27, and pretty much has no use here except if the team was ready to compete for a title again.

Doesn't make sense for either team imo.

Nelson and V for Rondo and Melo works ;)

But as the other said, the team is not especially likely to want to move Vucevic after this most recent game.

Being honest, you guys could get more for Rondo, we need Vucci, and Rondo would probably be miserable on a rebuilding team in his late 20's.

Can't see it happening.

He is only 26 & the way he plays age wont catch him for awhile, but I agree we need Vuc going forward & I honestly wouldn't trade Vuc for Rondo straight up if we could.

If you want Vucevic that badly, just beg David Stern.

Anyways, at this point I probably wouldn't even trade Vucevic straight up for Rondo, much less give you JJ and Harkless. Trading JJ and Harkless for Rondo is a possibility. But, it takes balls to post a horribly incredibly lop-sided trade in favor of the Celtics on another teams board. Fortunately, most Magic fans are not like other boards fans who would post hateful things. I think you guys should be playing Bass more as your team hasn't been playing as well with him coming off the bench lately.

I don't see it as a lop-sided trade. Vucevic and Harkless are very young players who are still raw but turning into solid role players, while Redick is hitting his prime and is a top-tier role player.

I'm not saying the trade is really what either team needs, but trading three role players for Rondo isn't that crazy. I do think, however, that it makes more sense to stick with Vucevic and Harkless, and a scrappy leader like Redick in this first phase of the rebuilding process.

Right now, we're doing it right. We've mixed talented young pieces with solid vets who can teach them the ropes, and we're looking at a probable lottery pick this summer. Keep the ship sailing on this course - no need to bring Rondo in here and make a desperate bid for a 7th-8th seed in the playoffs. Wait it out a bit.

Orlando is desperate for a new PG. But this trade creates a void in the C slot. Generally, trading a big for a small does not pay out in the NBA.

No way we'd do that. Giving up too much potential talent. Vuc is averaging a double double and he's only 22. I don't see him as a project. He may become an all star. I do love Rondo but no thanks.

The other thing to note is Rondo is notoriously difficult to coach, and he also creates locker room drama. No way JV or Hennigan want that on this club, regardless of the talent he represents.
