better for Wiz fans to take the drugs that make you forget
A lot of what we call 'thought' is just mental activity

Ted posted a blog entry today that was actually not bad. Almost like someone else wrote it. :) It was about Nene's impact on the team, which is pretty remarkable. Worth a read. Actually was kinda encouraging.

Nivek- that's the problem...all of Ted's blog posts are pollyanna. Someone needs to stop blowing sunshine up his tailpipe and invoke some change to this losing culture.

Has the local DC media ever done a story on "Teds Take"?? (I'm in Fl.) But I'd love to hear what "they" think is up, when you see the owner of a professional sports team (In the Nations Capital) open up a blog for discussion/replies, and only get (apparently) 2 or 3 per post.. They either receive hundreds of replies, with only 3 being "repeatable", or they only have 3 fans.. Which is it?? How great would it be to hear a reporter ask that question at one of Ted's pressers??

The Wizards problems have very little to do with injuries, and if the Wizards keep relying on injuries as an excuse, it could just set up another season of disappointment.

The Wizards problems in no particular order are:

    - The Wizards have no backup PG capable of giving the team quality minutes in the case that John Wall misses extended time (Since Wall's injury was known well before the season started, his injury is not an excuse).
    - Bradley Beal has developed slower than the team would have liked. Considering he is rookie, this should have been expected, but with all the Wizards other problems, it is an issue the Wizards can not afford.
    - Jordan Crawford has improved, but still takes too many ill advised shots.
    - Trevor Ariza and Emeka Okafor are not worth the money they are getting paid.
    - Chris Singleton although having shown signs of improvement to start the season has regressed to being useless.
    - Trevor Booker, Jan Vesely and Kevin Seraphin have all significantly regressed from the play they were showing at the end of last season which filled so many fans with optimism about this season.

Day by day, in every way, we are getting additional information with which to analyze, adjust, and adapt.*

While I think this was the best piece Ted's done for his blog, the nitpicking side of my brain keeps pointing out that the sample size is tiny and many of Nene's minutes came against backups -- which is easier than playing against starters.

Modified your post and placed it on Ted's blog. We'll see if/when Ted posts that one!

Hold on. Maybe I am Ted.

That piece was very similar to the post I did here. Same day even. Only mine was at 8am so no way that Teds Take was by by then.

But he took the numbers and focused on Nene while mine was focused on how Wall gives them what they are missing. Even if he returns as just what he was before.

Just checked. I can see the post (and it's status is still 'awaiting moderator approval'). I suspect no one else can view the post. Weird.

That's how all my replies have been, too. I can see it, with the "awaiting mod" message, then after a few days it finally disappears.. "Ted's Take: It a BUST"

If you Wizards fans wouldn't mind, how about venturing over to the Bucks board and weighing in on this thread?

viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1224592&start=45#p34230835

Our owner seems to have a lot in common with Abe. Both upstanding guys who ran an NBA team into the ground in their later years, most likely because they didn't understand the modern NBA at all. So while they slept, smart franchises positioned themselves for much greater success. Our owner, Herb Kohl is 77. I think Abe was 88 when he passed away. We seem to be on the same track here unfortunately. John Hammond will apparently be retained for a sixth year and beyond despite his poor track record (ala Ernie G. )
