I knew Beal will turn out well for us. I think Beal been the second best rookie in the nba.

Okafor thoroughly outplayed Perkins. Can you say, "Trade for draft pick?"

Actually, his value is probably going to really go up around playoff time if Emeka keeps playing like this.
Bye bye Beal.

I love that Beal is demanding the ball in crunch time. That's a rare trait that, when paired with a player who can make smart bball plays, can take a star and make him a superstar.

Beal has a long way to go to be either a star or superstar but this is a great sign for his development.

It is really good to see good effort and outplaying a team result in a win. This was a team win where the team that deserved to win did win.
Bye bye Beal.

Honestly, based on what we were seeing earlier in the year I thought isolation basketball with Beal was completely out of the question this year.

Something has clicked. He's not gonna do this every night, but really encouraging start to the new year.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

New Beal comparison: Reggie Miller.

He's got that clutch gene.

Fixed for accuracy. Honestly, that's going to happen until Durant leaves the Thunder or the Wizards become a legitimate draw themselves in DC. Was at the game as well and it didnt bother me one bit, especially because you know that 98% of the people cheering for the Thunder couldn't tell you the capital of OKC, and because the Wizards have been so atrocious for so long that people here just need something decent to cheer for, and a hometown kid made good is as good a thing to root for as any.

f course I'd never root against my squad unless the tank train was leaving the station.

So, I sold my seats for both the Miama and OKC games and the Wiz won both games. I'm starting to think I'm the Wizards curse. Maybe I need to sell the rest of my games!

Very good game from Beal and Vesely. Let's hope that they continue to gain confidence. Martell also had a nice game. I hope that he continues to start as he has earned it. Nice win.

Lot of people were ringing the BUST bell earlier in the season.

I need a "Beal with it!" T-shirt asap.

To end this game with further encouragement, here's what Scott Brooks said after the game.

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/beal-score ... --nba.html

Four years ago, the Thunder started 3-29, even worse than Randy Wittman's Wizards to open this season. ''I know how Randy feels,'' Brooks said. ''It's not easy, because you don't see a lot of sunshine. But, they have good players that work hard, and eventually it turns around. . Kevin Durant helps, also.'' . The Wizards' 30 first-quarter points matched a season high for the opening period.

Wittman should enjoy the second half of the season a lot more than the first with healthy players.
Bye bye Beal.

I dunno if he *demanded* it. I was watching the Thunder feed, and they zoomed in on Beal during the time out. He sat on the bench while everyone else left, covered his face with his towel, and looked visibly shaken. He was the last to walk on the court after the time out.

Of course, once he got the ball, he looked comfortable, made the right decision, and drained the shot. :D He looked a little nervous in the huddle, but that's okay - he's 19.
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

We shouldn't rest on this, time to go to Beal more, also there are a few guys to look at in FA like Machado and Jorts.
