If Howard signs with another team, they may be in for a long rebuilding phase whether they want to or not. The Lakers can't run, defend, has no depth and they are old.

Errrr, except 98% of free agents in the league want to play for the Lakers?

:p

They'd want to get paid first. Kobe will make $30mil alone. No capspace moving forward. All those exceptions for teams over the cap aren't going to cut it for players looking to get paid.

No cap room. Everyone wants to play for the Knicks for the last decade too.

I could see them swing a sign and trade for Howard if Howard decide to bail. Something like Howard for Horford could work out (again if Howard goes to ATL).

Good News for Kobe:

This should only accelerate his goal to become all-time leading scorer.

Always good news for Kobe somehow...

What is the recovery from Labrum Surgery?

The recovery depends upon many factors, such as where the tear was located, how severe it was and how good the surgical repair was. It is believed that it takes at least four to six weeks for the labrum to re-attach itself to the rim of the bone, and probably another four to six weeks to get strong. Once the labrum has healed to the rim of the bone, it should see stress very gradually so that it can gather strength. It is important not to re-injure it while it is healing.

The Lakers will not take on Bargnani's contract. He expires a year after their big target date for free agents.

As for the frontcourt - D'Antoni is probably excited. He can now start a 5 guard rotation, and have everyone in the lineup jack 3's from everywhere. This should be fun to watch,.
