Thought this deserved it's own thread. If I read the tweet wrong, feel free to delete.

Not surprised. Hammond toppled Skiles. But did he sell his soul to Kohl in the process?

Great news imo. Hammond is about to reboot the Bucks franchise.

I know most here don't like him, but I think most will be singing a different tune by this time next season.

We'll find out this deadline and following off-season IMO.

If Hammond gets to do things his way this could be very good news, again IMO.

I guess I don't see how this can be portrayed as good news.

I desperately hope he gets new uniforms for the squad.

Hopefully there is a stipulation in his next deal that he has to win a playoff series within a decade on the job.

He totally wants to tank, and I would hope has been telling Kohl "see how what we're doing isn't working?". Or maybe Kohl thinks he's assembled a good winning roster and just needs a new coach, and Hammond just wants to keep the job no matter what.

Time will tell.

Horrible news. Hammond convinced Monty Burns that Skiles was the problem. Good Lord.

Or Skiles pushed too hard and Kohl told him enough's enough. Or both.

What evidence is there that he totally wants to tank?

Nearly every quote I've read from him the last year +, I'll try to dig some up.

Yeah they got the hook up right now and I like the uniforms the Rockets have been using lately with the Red/Yellow.. they looked great in Cleveland.

I'm hoping part of the reboot will be new uniform schemes. I'm in the minority, but I've always hoped the Bucks would ditch the green/red and go green/gold and look similar to the Sonics/Packers. Regardless, the Bucks uniforms are the worst in the NBA.

This is what happens when the lunatics (Steinmiller and co.) run the asylum and why our franchise has been garbage for over a decade

Haven't you guys been telling me that Hammond is actually smart and knows that tanking is the way to go but he simply wasn't able to?

Maybe the Senator's mind has changed after witnessing how futile it is to 'win-now'. Perhaps it's become evident that the Bucks need a rebuild, and the reason Skiles was let-go is it became apparent he wasn't the right guy to coach a young rebuilding squad?

It would make sense.

That's probably true. I think both sides wanted to do this before the season. But Kohl hates paying guys for not working and Skiles didn't want to walk away from a few million. Doing it now makes sense for both of them.

Hell when Kohl finally fired Dunleavy as coach he kept him around in the front office because he wouldn't pay him off.

I'd like to see a list of GM's that were extended after 5 seasons and being ~20 games or worse under .500, and how the next portion of their tenure unfolded.
