If Kobe can manage 2 out of 4 the next games

How much iwll his MVP stock increase?

I'm not a Kobe fan

I say its between Lebron and Chris Paul right now, with Durant 3rd and Melo 4th because of his recent missed games, and bad shooting night. Somebody from the Spurs have to get some recognition at least.. imagine Duncan winning MVP at this stage in his career

None. I don't think your MVP stock can rise until you have a winning record. PEACE.

I think Duncan should win DPOY. Amazing he never won it in his career.

He is top 3, but i will be damn pissed if he wins MVP whilst KD is putting up numbers on absurd efficiency and Lebron fills it up at his usual rate.

Nash won MVP putting up 15 and 11 as well because he led the Suns to the best record in the league and no one was expecting it. Same can be said for the Clippers.

Injuries also happened to the suns and they still shined behind nash. The clippers roster is stronger than ever. Literally.

Clippers are missing both Billups and Hill.

None when you were predicted to win the West over the Thunder.

When your team is 15-18 you shouldn't have any MVP stock to begin with.

True. Lakers record is so bad that Kobe isn't even in the discussion.

Lebron in the lead for me due to his competition falling from their hot starts (looking at Melo).

1. Lebron
2. Durant
3. Chris Paul

4. Melo

Durant can be forgiven for losing to the Wiz since Lebron has ALSO lost to them (the Wiz... who knew?)

Chris Paul needs a #1 record to make up for his stats, which do matter in MVP discussion.

What on earth??? Are you talking about the team success (in huge part due to him missing a few games) because he has had basically nothing but good games recently except last night.. FFS the guy won player of the week

Uh what are you talking about? Melo had two 40 point games in the last week or so. You're sounding like a real casual fan.

I can't help but feel like if LeBron/Wade/Kobe etc were taking a team that had Asik/Parsons as its second and third best player and had them 21-14 they would be getting a lot more MVP love than Harden has so far.

Well with Harden you have to consider the slower start too. Harder's gotten a LOT better as the season has moved on, as have the Rockets' record. They are now on pace for 50 wins. If this keeps going in the same direction Harden will get a good amount of talk.

At the same time though, this is looking like a VERY strong year and that's something we need to recognize and just appreciate. Quite literally I think you can make the argument that Harden's both clearly outside the Top 5 and still better than Rose was when he won the MVP, and I say this as someone who didn't think Rose's MVP was a crazy vote (it was just a crazy year with no great candidates).
