Its foul if KG really said this to anthony

Post#1 » by blackbishop » Tue Jan 8, 2013 6:25 pm

http://blacksportsonline.com/home/2013/ ... -cheerios/

If this is true, melo had a right to be mad. That is kinda crossing the line.

Pertinent quote from site:

"Kevin Garnett Allegedly Told Carmelo Anthony His Wife Tastes Like Honey Nut Cheerios"

Either this is an Urban Legend or some really foul trash talk on Kevin Garnett’s part. We all know that KG doesn’t follow the rules of trash talking. One of the rules is you never talked about someone’s wife or girlfriend.

You definitely don’t imply you slept with her or she tasted like a delicious brand of cereal.

Easy comeback

I'm pretty sure this wasn't all of it. It was probably an accumulation of stupid things KG did.

How about quoting the text in the post so we don't have to get timed out on the website?

But the honey nut cheerios thing sounds like bs. People are obviously going to assume the only thing that could make him that mad is saying something about his wife / kids so this will do the trick.

this site isn't credible so take it with a grain of salt.

But obviously, KG said something really foul to make Carmelo act that way.

Its foul but thats who KG is, he will try to throw you off your game what he said worked but its not why we lost we got outplayed. Melo could also talk some smack himself to KG. It is what it is its over with, Melo has to get better from this and so does our team. Its time to move on.

This is why I love the hood. For all of it's pitfalls, the hood can provide you with a core set of values that carry you through the rest of your life. Because of all of the attention that kids like Kevin Garnett received at an early age, they don't live a normal life of an urban youth. They don't follow the strict code, that while unjust and sometimes extremely cruel and harsh, gives you a sense of parameters for life. This leads to kids thinking it's okay to hit another man in his balls. Leads to kids thinking it's okay to openly talk about another man's wife. Leads to kids feeling like having values is overrated because there is no consequence for anything that you do or say.

I remember when ole dude spit in LaLa's face and 'Melo rightfully put an ass whoopin on homeboy. There were people out there calling him a thug and this and that. These are people who would do absolutely nothing should someone say something out of line or god forbid DO something to their significant other.

Kudo's to 'Melo and fk KG for stepping out of the realm of the basketball game, whilst being under the warm blanket that a professional environment provides.

Look Melo has been played physical like that before in his career. He has had cheap shots thrown at him. He has been beaten up and shot bad and lost all in the same game before and never reacted like that. He has been beaten on like that from KG before also. So ask yourself what is different this time? Why did Melo all of the sudden snap? It is clear that KG said something that crossed the line in Melo's mind. All the other stuff Melo has been through before and never acted like that.

Also:

The story goes that on May 9, 1999 (Mother’s Day), Tim Duncan’s Spurs played Kevin Garnett’s Timberwolves in the first round of the NBA playoffs. During that game, Garnett, who is known for his incessant need to trash talk and intense dislike for any sort of decency did what he does best. He went too far. Just as Tim Duncan was going to take two free throws, Garnett barked at him: “Happy Mother’s Day, motherf**ker!” Tim Duncan’s mother famously died of breast cancer the day before his 14th birthday.
