This is horrible for Detroit... Although the "instant contenders" justification was good for a laugh.

i believe it does...i definetly see how in the long run it might not prove to be good, because drummond
might become a top player....but for now...i believe it does make them better

The Bulls think they can win a title this year once Rose gets back. I can't see them dumping 4 rotation players without getting any back. If you thought Deng's minutes were excessive before...

The Pistons aren't trading Drummond for Gasol, this trade ruins their cap flexibility. Why get the over-payed Gasol AND give up Drummond when there are a lot of nice power forwards (if that's what they want) in the free agency this summer PLUS it would hurt their draft stock.

Loving it for the Kings, though. (not a fan of Marcus)

Pretty bad for the kings if you expect the kings to include picks. the kings have to reach the salary floor every year we aren't likely to use our capspace well so u would rather keep our long term contracts than pay to get rid of them.

This makes Detroit a borderline playoff team for 2 years (as in they'll waste 2 years getting absolutely embarrased in the 1st round by Miami) and then go right back into rebuild mode...except now they wont have a talented (near) 7 footer (who is averaging 7/7/1.6 in just 19mpg while shooting nearly 60% from the field at just a raw 19 years of age).

An analogy would be a fat kid who has finally started to lose weight and find himself, suddenly hooking up with a girl with a hairlip and sideburns, getting excited about it and gaining back all the weight he lost...then fast forward 2 years later when the hairlip walks out on him.
