Does Brooklyn with Rudy Gay make them a contender?

Post#1 » by nickforthreee » Wed Jan 9, 2013 1:39 am

im not sure if it would make them a contender but i think they would definitely be an elite team with him. they need a go to scorer and joe johnson just aint cuttin it.

PG: D-Will
SG: JJ
SF: Rudy
PF: Hump
C: Lopez

thats a lineup that can make some noise. hump should get traded for someone better tho but he can rebound and the other 4 are solid even tho dwill isnt great this year

Considering Wallace has been their second best player this season, why would it? Rudy thinks he's a star, and isn't.

No, but Brooklyn plus Randolph might.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

How many more players does Brooklyn need to add to be "contenders"?

Is this some kind of sick joke? Rudy Gay is absolutely terrible. At least Gerald Wallace is a good defender.

Why is Rudy Gay so polarizing? People either insanely overrate him or think he's pure trash.

The truth is right in the middle. He's a solid player, but he's not good enough to change a teams fortunes. He's a ideal 3rd option on a team with 2 superstars. That's not trash, but he's not a star either.

marshon brooks is awful. inserting him in the starting lineup certainly wont make us contenders.

also, joe johnson ks certainly getting it done the past 3 or 4 weeks after the slow start

I almost feel sorry for you.

How low does his true shooting have to get before you will open your eyes.

can score at will, put the team on his back, come up big in clutch moments, completely take over a game. parsons is a role player. a good one yes, but a role player.

i can tell that you are one of the people who see certain stats go up when kobe is off the floor so you suggest the lakers are better off without kobe. stats arent everything my dude. if you have an argument with people in real life and try to say parsons is better than rudy you will get laughed at.

How about the other games where he shoots his team out of games by not passing it to Randolph?
