PG: Boylan first Bucks coach to win debut since 2007

Post#1 » by paulpressey25 » Wed Jan 9, 2013 3:26 am

Ok, I had to LOL that Fox put up that graphic. We've only had one coach in between those two. That had Paschke research all over it.

Still good win. Tight rotations. Young guys responded. tomorrow is the big test.

Spread those 40 minutes of Monta's to whatever we get back for him and the rest of our current roster and I'm happy with this team going forward.

Potentially a pretty sick Frontcourt for the next couple years. Henson/Sanders could be awesome

Jennings with a pay me night and everyone else played great but Ellis. Who I honestly took no notice of.

Other then Tobes not getting a couple of minutes when Dunleavy wasn't playing well, I was really happy with our rotation tonight. Loved that Boylan let Larry & Henson play together in the front court, they were beasts on the boards and blocking/altering shots.

Initial thoughts on the coaching:

1. You might be disappointed if you don't see John Henson as much as you did tonight. Ersan was in foul trouble. Just like in the first Heat game when he got a ton of play, we might be disappointed next game when he doesn't see the floor.
2. No Marquis/No Drew Gooden. Good job Boylan. Maybe if we play a team with better wing players I want to see a bit of Daniels instead of Dunleavy, but not tonight.

Monta Ellis is a bucket of ass.

When the Bucks lose, the PG thread should be referred to as The Boylan Point.

It's pretty obvious that Hammond is still going to have to trade to address depth at the 1/2.

Sparking ranting about people calling up and pointing out that Boylan was actually standing up and could be seen actually talking to and coaching his players compared to Skiles who just sits there and stars blankly or puts his hands in his face.

Point taken, but it's gonna be hard for Boylan to keep Henson off the floor with him playing so well.

Plus Ersan likes to come off the bench, anyway.

I say give Jennings/Ellis/Moute/Henson/Sanders a shot at starting tomorrow

I'm confused, were the callers trying to say this was a bad thing? :o

Ended up being a nice win, everyone seemed happy at the end. A very sluggish start, almost to the point it looked like they didn't care. My thoughts on the game...

1. Really love Henson's upside and want him in the regular rotation.
2. Ersan seemed more relaxed and thought had a good game.
3. This is the BJ3 we want more consistently, excellent game.
4. Tight rotation, I liked it.
5. I'm over Ellis, hope he's dealt.
6. Sanders is awesome! Wonder if he starts p*ssing people off though with some of his antics. :)
7. Congrats to Coach Boylan on 1st win here as Head Coach.

We'll see what happens tomorrow. I'm expecting a loss, but if they play like they did in the second half they may can steal one I suppose.

Larry Sanders may be my favorite NBA player after that

Dunleavy should go. He's been one of the three best players this season but they can't keep Harris out of the rotation.

Everything else was perfect. Except Monta. He's **** awful.
