He is an assist first guy. But he looks to be a couple years away until he is ready for the NBA.

Speaking of the Rockets... I was just thinking of the past Dwight trade scenarios. Here were the names being batted about.

Donatas Motiejunas
Jeremy Lamb
Royce White
Terrance Jones
Chandler Parsons

We ended up with Vucevic, Nicolson and Harkless.

Our 2nd year guy (Vooch) is much more valuable than their 2nd year guy Parsons. And our two rookies are more productive than any of their rookies thusfar. [Royce is done, DM + Lamb both have yet to crack 4 mpg on their respective teams and Jones is south of 9mpg]

By no means is this the final word, but so far I think we did pretty well with the trade.

I would almost rather have Terrel Harris as Machado. Machado was waived over Tony Douglass and Patrick Beverly.

Machado is a guy that can earn his way into the NBA by long-term, hard-work. A real commitment to the game and he could become a Darrell Armstrong-type. If not, he will bounce around as the next Omar Cook.

i dont think those were all the names part of a package, but who knows? Dont forget the 1st round picks we could have had tho. Dal and Tor first, iirc.

Oh, no doubt... I'm more just talking from a this board and players mentioned. Not what actually was a potential trade reality. Really none of the guys we lusted after have been all that great so far. Now maybe the X,Y or Z draft pick would have turned into somebody amazing, but that's too hard to say.
