Lamb D-League Thread - 24 points (9-14) - Recalled to Bucks

Post#1 » by Baddy Chuck » Thu Jan 17, 2013 2:27 am

Figured I'd make a thread to keep most of the discussion here. I'll try to keep the title and stats pretty up to date.

First game 12 points (4-14, 0-3 3PT, 4-4 FT), 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal
Second game 3 points (1-8, 1-2 3PT), 5 rebounds, 5 assist, 1 steal, 1 turnover

Not starting apparently, him and Miles Plumlee are coming off the bench.

Lamb coming off the bench.

In other news, Skiles is the new coach of the mad ants.

It appears the youtube streaming function allows you to go back to a certain point of the game so long as you've got the live stream going. For those watching, could you include the time of the quarter Doron does enter the game? I'll love you forever.

I'm really excited for Doron's D-League stint. I don't believe he's really as bad as he played those last few games he saw PT. Hopefully he can get some nice looks to go in, and maybe even spend a little time running the O (he looked so damn unnatural w/ the ball in his hands when there wasn't another true PG on the floor in Milwaukee) and get more comfortable with the ball.

If I was hearing the name Courtney Fortson for the first time I would assume it was Danny Fortson's daughter.

About 7 minutes into the first for those who may have started their streams at a different time.

Lamb not looking good so far. 1 missed midrange jumper in transition with a bad crosscourt pass on the previous possession.

Lamb with an alley oop that Plumlee fumbled the pass. He'll be right at home when he makes it back on the team.

Edit - Mightve been Harangody

I honestly think Lamb's range ends a few feet shy of the NBA three. NCAA arc was about as far as he could stretch it without forcing it. Looks much more comfortable in the midrange.

Bad half for Lamb. 3-10 shooting and drew one shooting foul. He looks really comfortable driving into the lane though, he'll need it if his jumper continues to struggle.

He shot 49% and 47% from 3 in college. I don't think a couple extra feet means he can't get to league average. I think he needs playing time to get used to the game.

I'm more than aware of his stats. He hasn't given any indication that he does have the additional 2-3 feet of range, and his poor form/tendency not to square his shoulders to the hoop would be indicative of someone who struggles to keep/extend that range at the next level.
