Tmac signed.his.lifetime deal in 2002.... But signed with them out of HS in 97. Just.like D Rose signed a rookie.deal with adidas in 08 and got a lifetime deal in 2012

Ok, didn't know that. He signed a 6yr contract back in the summer of 1997. But I tried to find any arcticles about a Adidas tour from 1998 or 1999 with McGrady participating. The Google archive can't find anything from 1/1/1998 to 12/31/1999. So, while you are sure about that, you may want to give a proof.

I have no idea where it is now. Probably in the basement somewhere. I remember it vividly, because that magazine was all I had that was NBA-related for about six months when I was 13 years old. Must have read it like 50 times. Antoine Walker was there, too.

Maybe a Streetball event? Walker was a bigger name at that time, but I couldn't find articles about him being in Germany either. I have some blurred memory of someone telling me he once met Walker at an Streetball competition back in the late 90's in Germany, but I can't remember who it was, he might have mentioned Bryant as well, but I really don't know whether McGrady's name came up in that conversation.

It's really hard to see who is teling the truth. Why would Kobe make that up? It would be a stupid thing to do, but I would not be surprised due to his ego.
Why would T-Mac deny it? Well, to save face. At the same time he did thank Kobe on his farewell so I don't see why he would lie either.

Kobe provided way too many details for him to have made it up. He remembered the number of games they played, the score of one, Tracy having back pain, the reason they were in Germany. C'mon guys....I know this site largely dislikes Kobe but the guy isn't Lance Armstrong.

As for Tmac....dude just lost some of my respect. He's old, but not that old. He remembers this. Lying is bad enough, but even more so when it's over something of so little importance. To save face over some 1-on-1 games played more than a decade ago...smh.
