Oh yeah, and we got Lebron in 2014

Isn't it funny that you are the only team with a supposedly "superstar" but will be in the running for a top 5 pick?

If you include the Lakers they win it by default merely by being the Lakers.

Superstars win games for their teams, put up elite numbers, are recognize by casual fans everywhere, bring in revenue for their team, etc.

Irving has superstar promise but he isn't anywhere near there yet brah.

Wall/Beal could be the league's best backcourt in a year or two. They fit each other perfectly.

If Irving was a superstar the Cavs would have more than 10 wins. Volume scoring and And1 highlights don't necessarily lead to team basketball and wins.

Depends on Beal developing though. Wall will get there, but Beal would need to follow up on some of that Ray Allen hype he was getting before.

Drummond is sick but he needs to develop a post game before they can build around him. All his points are scored on putbacks and off the pick and rolls

The way the Wolves will be one of the 5 worst teams by the end of the season, so I will say they have a pretty bright future if they could ever stay healthy, plus adding in a top pick this year.

They will probably be looking at this lineup for the next week or so.

Rubio, Barea
Ridnour, Gelebale
AK47, Gelebale
Williams, Cunningham
Steamer, Amundson

They were struggling even before Pek and Shved got hurt, so I don't want to even think about how bad they will be now. If healthy next year and somehow get lucky and get Noel, McLemore and then by some miracle stay/get healthy this team could be really good.

Rubio, Barea
McLemore, Shved
AK47, Budinger
Love, Cunningham
Pekovic

and whoever they could get for Williams, Ridnour, and Roys team option. Very solid team.

Gosh it is so depressing being back in tank mode, again.

I like the Magic. I also think the Hornets have a bright future. The Bobcats is they make good decisions going forth have a good future too.

No Lakers option?

Not trolling, but they will likely have Dwight and cap space in 2014.

Whilst other teams have some young studs, and whilst they're losing now, they will be back to the top before any of these perennial poor teams can get towards the playoffs.

Obviously NOH. They have Austin Rivers. Dude is a beast.

Seriously though Detroit has two young bigs and future cap space like a mofo. Unless they blow it in FA and sign another Villanueva they should be good. If they manage to sign a PG who knows how to run a team they would be solid. Shame for Detroit that Lowry is in Toronto, he would have provided a lot of what they are missing.

Edit: Why so many votes for Cleveland? Kyrie is good but not a superstar and their team is bad. Unless Varejao is traded for a star they have next to nothing. Not trying to pile on, but they look more like a team that will be an 8th seed in a few years, stuck just missing the lottery and ending up on the treadmill.

That's okay.

I know the OP didn't want to include them because even when the Lakers are in the lottery, they're not really a lottery team. The Lakers organization will rise time and time again with everyone being bitter about it with every Finals trip. Just like old times.

If they're in the lottery, they're a lottery team.

The Wolves are the most disappointing team for me this year. So sad how they just imploded.

I'd say the Kings have the brightest future, for they are coming to Seattle baby. Bring IT back to Seattle!

Which of course means that they are not a lottery team now

If they don't make the playoffs and currently sit 20th in the league overall, are they not in the lottery now?

They won't be in 2014-15, but they are now, as it stands today, 5 games under .500 and 11th out West.

Phila is curently a lottery team but has Jrue Holiday and the second best center in the league so I think they at least should be in the poll.
