UTA/HOU/LAC

Post#1 » by AingesBurner » Sat Jan 19, 2013 9:30 am

UTAH OUT: PAUL MILLSAP, RAJA BELL, KEVIN MURPHY, AND EARL WATSON
UTAH IN: ERIC BLEDSOE, GRANT HILL, COLE ALDRICH, RYAN HOLLINS, HOUSTON 2013 FIRST ROUND

LAC OUT: ERIC BLEDSOE, GRANT HILL, RYAN HOLLINS, AND 2013 SECOND ROUND
LAC IN: CHANDLER PARSONS, RAJA BELL, AND TONEY DOUGLAS

HOU OUT: CHANDLER PARSONS, TONEY DOUGLAS, 2013 FIRST ROUND
HOU IN: PAUL MILLSAP, EARL WATSON, LAC 2ND ROUND AND KEVIN MURPHY

UTAH GETS IT POINT GUARD IT NEEDS AND GRANT HILL FOR SF AND MOVES MARVIN WILLIAMS TO THE BENCH AS PF, IT ALSO GETS A FIRST ROUND PICK AND A 2 ROUND PICK THE OTHER TWO PLAYERS ARE FLUFF FOR CONTRACTS

LAC BASICALLY TURNS ERIC BLEDSOE TONEY DOUGLAS (WHO IS A DECENT BACK UP AND ON A CHEAP CONTRACT) AND CHANDLER PARSONS (SF OF THE FUTURE) AND GET RAJA BELL FOR GRANT HILL, RAJA IS YOUNGER AND A GREAT DEFENDER, HE ALSO HAS HAD REST FOR MOST OF THE SEASON. HE AND BARNES WILL BE KEY DEFENDERS FOR THE PLAYOFFS.

HOU SENDS OUT FAN FAVORITE BUT IN RETURN THEY GET MILLSAP (WHO MOREY WILL RESIGN MOST LIKELY IN THE OFF SEASON PAUL IS FROM LOUISIANA) THEY GET A BACK UP PG WITH A GOOD VET FOR THE LOCKER ROOM AND KEVIN MURPHY WHO COULD BE A PROLIFIC SCORER OFF THE BENCH.

What's with the caps lock? I don't think Houston does this anyway.

As a Utah-fan, I would love this deal. This deal is way too good for us though. Turning Milsap into Bledsoe would be great for us. Getting rid of Raja and getting a pick is just overkill.

BAD FOR HOUSTON, NO THANK YOU.

What about if Houston sent out Parsons, but didn't send out their own first round pick and instead receieved both of Utah's first rounders this year?

Houston does not send out its first and gets Utah's 2013 second round and 2014 first round pick (top 16 protected). That's pretty fair value.

LAC really gets a better player in Raja who plays defense, shoots the 3, and is an expiring contract for Ryan Hollins and Grant Hill. Thats a good deal. Grant has 2 years/4 mil left on his deal. LAC gets cap space too.

THAT'S TERRIBLE FOR HOUSTON BECAUSE CHANDLER PARSONS IS AWESOME AND PAUL MILLSAP PROBABLY WON'T RE-SIGN WITH THEM. I DON'T KNOW WHY THE OP IS WRITING IN ALL-CAPS. ME TOO.

No from Clippers. This doesn't make us clearly better, which is the only reason we trade at this point.

And lol@ raja being "well rested".

Paul Millsap is a Daryl Morey player, hes from Louisana so he's close to home and family. Houston would give Millsap a good contract. Houston also does not have a good PF right now, they do not have front court scoring. They give a good SF for a good PF. Millsap also has a better PER than Parsons. If Houston does not want Watson we would send Burks instead and keep Murphy.

LAC gets great value, how do they not. Billups will be backing up Paul in the playoffs thats a given. They also get cap because Douglas is expiring. So they are getting going to have quite a bit of capspace in the offseason to sign good players.

Then why don't we just try to sign him next offseason? Don't think Utah plans on it

And also they get a test drive of Millsap to see if they like what he brings, risk brings reward.

You'd think people would get this....

LA isn't going to trade Bledsoe, at least for awhile, because he is incredible insurance in case Paul doesn't resign. They aren't going to risk losing Paul AND losing Bledsoe.

Aside from that, the value isn't worth it for them.

Let Houston keep the pick.

LA should move Bledsoe while he is overvalued.
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.
