That's part of the reason I didn't get too excited after we beat Indiana. It's nice to have 4 wins already but there's a long tough road ahead. If we turned around and lost the next 4 I wouldn't be stunned.

Minnesota will be fine, but I think what we've learned this week is that Illinois was massively overrated.

Definitely. It took me longer than most to realize this because I became a believer after they went in to Spokane and handled the Zags from start to finish. Not many teams can do that. I think that was just a fluke game though now.

Classic let down/trap game for UW.

Tough start for MU, but a nice finish to make it a good game. Still time for the W.

Wow, Kilpatrick was unstoppable. Hard fought game, but a tough loss.

Davante Gardner's second half was ridiculous. That said, what a rough finish.

Traevon Jackson went back to playing like the worst player in college basketball.

His FT shooting is pretty incredible for a guy his size. I was very impressed how he tied it up twice in crucial spots.

Pretty much. A huge negative on both ends of the court. Contributed absolutely nothing on offense. Marshall on the other hand looked decent. Dekker was the only consistent threat on offense tonight, but a few sloppy turnovers got him planted on the bench by Bo.

Also, it's maddening how poor this team is at getting the ball to Berggren in the post. Part of it is on Berggren to establish more down there, but I suspect not having a competent PG to get him the ball has led him to forgo the post and stick to the perimeter.

Don't want to overreact too much to one game, but at least point I think you have to roll with Marshall/Dekker. Jackson can't shoot, can't penetrate, can't feed the post - literally the only thing he does well is protect the ball. At least Marshall has an outside shot. It's tough to win games when your PG provides absolutely nothing on offense for 30 minutes.

I've been saying it all year, in this thread several times, but Marshall needs to play more. He has an awkward/spastic sort of style to his game, but he's got much more potential as a point guard than Jackson. Jackson is a 2 guard with good handles. Marshall is also a better shooter and much quicker when penetrating.

Tonight's game was especially difficult to watch because Iowa wasn't even playing good. An entirely winnable game thrown down the toilet by an atrocious first 15 minutes.

Oklahoma State @ Baylor

Two pretty good teams nobody will want to play in the tournament. Marcus Smart is nice.

Fran is doing this game. I think his analysis is fantastic.

George Marshall out for MSU tonight? That could really hurt an already depleted backcourt. Looks like Kaminsky is also out.

Badgers favored by 6. Seems high. Losing Marshall would not be good for them. They'd basically be going 6 deep (Dekker) with Kaminsky also out. Guess the line goes to like 2/3 if that is the case.

6 does seem a bit high, especially with those two guys potentially out. I figure it will be a last possession type of game, always seem to be close with Izzo and Bo. Was it last year that the game ended on that crazy last second shot that was overturned after replay because the clocks weren't synced?

I seriously can't stand Ryan Evans. I know he does some good things but for the life of me I can't understand why Bo Ryan gives him of all people the freedom to jack up bad shot after bad shot.
