What Draft Picks Do We Have???

I'm confused after all the trades. What picks do we have left?

2013

1st Round - None
2nd Round - Second from Memphis (Top 55 protected)

2014

1st Round - Lakers
2nd Round - None

2015

1st Round - None (unless within the top 5 picks)
2nd Round - None (unless within 31-40)

2017

1st Round - (realistically) None (unless it is in the top-5 picks and very unlikely events take place in 2013-2015)
2nd Round - Lakers

I would have put a top 12 protection on the Lakers 2013 draft pick. Suns get this pick if it is 1-14. They say it is not going to be a great draft. But a lottery pick still would be worth something come trade time or draft night to get a better player. Nash is a good player. But not worth trading 2 #1 and 2 #2's for. Win now is good. But there is little in the cubbord for the future. To many #1 picks traded in the last 5 years. SAD.

No LA 1sts in

2013, 2015, and 2017.

So Dwight better work out, or the Lakers will have a near impossible rebuild with only 2 1st round picks in the next 5 years.

Thanks for the help. All those trades this summer, right - LOL.
So...

2013

2nd Round - Memphis (Top 55 protected - chances are we don't get it)
2014
1st Round - Lakers
2nd Round - None
2015
1st Round - None (unless within the top 5 picks - chances are we don't get it)
2nd Round - None (Top 40 protected - it's a toss up if we get it)
2016
1st Round - Lakers
2nd Round - Lakers
2017
1st Round - None (unless within the top 5 picks - chances are we don't get it)
2nd Round - Lakers
2018
1st Round - Lakers
2nd Round - Lakers
2019

It's crazy to think, that the kid that could get drafted in 2019, is probably only 12 years old right now (maybe only 11)

Ehh......I'm not sweating no draft picks, there is NOBODY in college ball right now that's going to change a franchise. Nor is there nobody worthy enough of even saying he's a sure fire lottery pick. People make too much of draft picks. If the Lakers really valued them don't you think they'd keep a few ?

I don't think there is a complete game changer in the draft right now, but i would for them to get a premiere SG like Shabazz (unlikely, just an example) so that Kobe could mold him and teach him a few things before he retires.

Well maybe the Lakers could buy a pic from a team that does not want one in a weak draft. Suns could sell the Lakers there pic back. LOL

Lakers need to find a way to use the picks to get better, not keep trading for aged players.

Sure, Lakers should stop trading away their picks. The picks that help netted Steve Nash and Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol and (basically every player the Lakers acquire via trade).
