Not from being a contender team but from being a playoff team, and that's clear to me since last season.
Those are interesting numbers, thanks for posting them.

yes you are right there are bulls, knicks and heat. but we can be a pacers type team if drummond developes as a defensive stopper.

Drummond is the key but we need a point guard who can pass the ball. I see what Damien Lillard is in Portland. I was hoping Knight would be like that when he came into the league but I have since given up on that dream.
THANK YOU!

THANK YOU!
For posting that.
It confirms that we need high assist/ turnover players that can also shoot.
definitely a PG is Mandatory.
1
Trey Burke
Jose Calderon
2
Ben Mclemore
Victor Oladipo
3
Otto Porter
As much as I like trey Burke, I would choose Ben Mclemore or Otto Porter over him and go after Jose Calderon in Free Agency.
Drummond and Monroe are the Big 2. Now they gotta find that 3rd star player and I think they will contend, not just make the playoffs. The East is weak and nobody can match with a mature Drummond and a pure pg except maybe the Knicks - and they'll be super old.

You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

I pretty much agree with you there. I think Drummond benefits the most from a pure point guard on the roster.

Re: Some Mid-Season Stats
The surprising ones to me are 2nd in OPP 3FG and 9th in REB
It seems to me that we've had a lot of games this year where teams have went off on us from downtown. So I'm surprised we are actually 2nd best in the league at defending the 3.
Also, given how we were the worst rebounding team in the league for like the first month, its surprising to see we are now 9th. But considering Drummond has played more, and Jerebko was benched, its not all that surprising I guess.

Re: Some Mid-Season Stats
Give Knight till the end of the season to see if he improves. I definately think we should try and trade some of our vets and get mid to late 1st rd picks this year. We need a 1 maybe and definately a 2 and a 3. I find this to be a deep draft so late picks should still be fine.
