BOS/UTA/NOH

Post#1 » by AingesBurner » Tue Jan 22, 2013 11:20 pm

BOS out: Paul Pierce, Avery Bradley, Brandon Bass, Courtney Lee, and 2013 1st
BOS in: Paul Millsap, Eric Gordon, Jason Smtih, and Raja Bell

UTA out: Paul Millsap, Raja Bell, Marvin Williams, 2013 GSW, 2014 UTA 1st round.
UTA in: Paul Pierce, Brandon Bass, and G. Vasquez

NOH out: Eric Gordon, G. Vasquez, and Jason Smith
NOH in: Marvin Williams, Courtney Lee, Avery Bradley, 2013 BOS 1st, 2013 GSW, and 2014 UTA 1st round

BOS does this because they upgrade their front court and back court for a deep playoff run. They also get rid of of a bad contract in Bass and Lee.

UTA does this to upgrade their PG position, and SF position.

NOH does this because they want picks, Eric Gordon is unhappy, and they add veteran leadership to their team.
Ingles is cooked.

Hornets don't want picks. Gordon is not unhappy. You're trading away our oldest players and our team captain. No.

Boston turns Pierce into Gordon and Millsap? Really?

I like the Jazz getting Vazquez, but certainly not taking on Pierce......

TBH the C's do add a pick, Lee & Bradley. Millsap is also expiring.
Its not far off value wise for Boston.

Id say its pretty good for Utah. Bell had zero value and Ma.Williams is a bad contract.

I think that NOH need value, if it was just Gordon then maybe but Vasquez is more than a throw in.

There hasn't been any new rumors so I'm not sure what you are referring to.

Smith is also a decent 7' coming off the bench.

Is it ok if I just listen to Eric Gordon instead?

But with Millsap and Gordon that won't be a lottery pick...... So it's not actually that valuable in what everyone thinks is a weak draft......

You're turning a player at the end of his caree, two dissapointments (Bass and Lee) and one player with potential Bradley, into a proven star in Gordon, who is not even in his prime yet, and Millsap, who is just entering his prime..... That doesn't really happen in the real world.....

Vasquez is fantastic...so from Utah's perspective I'd think long and hard about it. If Pierce could be routed elsewhere I like it better.

They are setting themselves up for capspace in 2014 because Marvin Williams is off the books by then. Courtney Lee is a cheap back up and Avery Bradley will be a good PG. His PER is low because he is playing behind Rondo and Barbosa plays some PG too. The 2013 draft is only called weak because there are no LeBron's or Wades. NOH is getting 3 1st rounders for Vazquez and Gordon.

Gordon is unhappy in NOH, he wanted to go elsewhere but salary was matched, several sports analysts see him being traded for picks. OJ Mayo is also going to be an UFA in 2013. He will be cheaper than Gordon.

NEW TRADE

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bje5v7k

Here is a new trade and NOH does not get any picks. BOS 1st round goes to UTA and CHA first round via POR goes to UTA.
Ingles is cooked.
