OT: WT: Grizzlies to Sign Bill Walker!

Post#1 » by Stannis » Tue Jan 22, 2013 8:25 pm

Grizzlies To Sign Walker, West, Vujacic

The Memphis Grizzlies will sign Bill Walker, Delonte West and Sasha Vujacic following their cap clearing trade on Tuesday.

Vujacic has been playing in Europe, while West was released by the Mavericks in October.

I am really happy for Bill Walker, and I am even happier that he is with my hometown team. He was one of my favorite Knicks. I might have to start watching the Grizzlies again if he gets playing time.

 I hate it too, and just think it is funny that those five would share floor time.

Not going to lie, I think Memphis is running a great team over there, and if this allows them to keep their core intact, they may be something special this year. Rumors are they signed Billy Walker and Delonte West? They are going to be deeper than what they already are. I like this move for them.

Now they have a legitimate sorer to bring off the bench in Billy The Microwave Walker. Great move for the Griz.

I am happy for him also and hope he does well. I am still baffled why we cut him before the playoffs last season to pick up a stiff that did not see playing time.

Thought your sources said he was due to sign with the Knicks as a 6th man :D . Guess you sources are like the NBA insiders, they know as much as they don't know. BFH do you plan on defecting?

He's in the best shape of his career, been working out like a boss and getting his 3 point shot back. He'll shoot 40% from 3 again, I can guarantee it. He should get a massive ovation from the Garden crowd.

I guess that's as good as a guarantee as the sixth man signing. Looking forward to "Billy The Chubby Microwave Oven" bringing it then :D .

I have to admit I'll be pretty hyped when he posters Tyson. I'll feel a little sorry for Tyson but he is far from the only one that it's happened to at the hands of Billy Instant Offense Walker.

Why do you like this guy so much BFH? He is just ok. Really, I remembered he had just one good game against Miami raining threes, but that's about it. He clunked everything before and after that game. He was just a D'Antoni fluke. No wonder Boston got rid of him. He can only jump in Boston. Came to NY and D'Antoni made him a three point specialist for that one game. After that he couldn't hit water even if he fell out of a boat. But, that's your guy....

Because in 2009 when I first started watching the Knicks he came over from Boston and averaged 12 and 3 shooting 43% from 3. He never got the same minutes after that though unfortunately. He also shot 39% from 3 next season so your comments on his 3 point shooting are wildly incorrect and I take offense to those incorrect statements about the great man.

Didn't he average around 15mpg & 35% thereafter? Anyway, he was a medicore player, although a heck of a lot better than Dan Gadzuric whom he got waived for. Needless to say, Gadzuric didn't even leave the bench. Mins will be hard for him on the Grizzlies though, but happy for him....

I'm hoping West goes crazy again, that way Billy might be able to get some minutes backing up Tony Allen.
