Davis also said he wished Jacque Vaughn didn't take him out in the third quarter because it hurt his confidence.

Oh for **** sake :noway:

he was still confident enough to jack up 16FGAs, whilst only making 4 of them. seems like he could've done with a little more hurting, tonight.

any details? thanks

nothing exciting, they asked Vaughn about his play and if he was surprised Afflalo didn't attempt a shot until the late 3rd, Vaughn didn't really have an answer and quickly jumped to talking about the wonderful morning practice they had, and he was confident with this lineup

i wonder if that's a statement, or like MagicStarwipe said, a conscious effort to get others involved?

#Magic SG Arron Afflalo on only taking 4 shots and not scoring: "It was just a tough night. I apologize that I can’t elaborate any further."

JJ touched on accountability in his interview, it's up on the magic's site. Tomorrow will be a fun meeting/film session I bet.

Baby's interview is there too.
Woj is the new Bucher. Shams is the new Woj. Espn is the new TMZ. The NBA is the new WWE.

It is sad to see Afflalo playing in this tone. It is just not him.

So many unseen things you can only speculate on, locker room issues that nobody knows about. I wouldnt be surprised if Glen Davis was mad he wasnt getting enough shots again and AAA was like okay here ya go, BBD went 4-16, got benched and then lashed out on Vaughn for "hurting his confidence" /speculation

Just went through the entire thread since I didn't get to watch this game, but by looking at the team stats, the Detroit bigs killed us in the paint with their scoring and rebounding. Terrible to see that Baby played selfish and then cried about it when JV benched him. AA's stat line is extremely weird to me, but judging from the posts, it seems that he deferred mostly tonight. Great game from JJ and his increased production starts to make me wonder if we are going to keep him and try to flip Afflalo which I would have no problem with.

I want to see this team play well and play hard but I fully accept now that we are not a good basketball team and I expect these losses to start piling up as our schedule will start to get more difficult. I'm just anxious to see what direction we are taking this ball club because some of these veterans have to be moved in order to develop our young prospects.

Brutal game to watch outside of JJ being on fire. At this point, we've got to root for losses. I'm fine with it as long as they lose like winners, if that makes any sense.

Two straight games were the ± line of the bench was horrible, leading to a loss.

Davis has gone back to selfish chuck mode again. When he plays like that the Magic will lose just about every game. He needs to go back to picking his spots. Its not really about the number of shot attempts, but the type of shots he took and when he took them.
