Ugh...it's almost as if Colangelo is trolling the Raptors.

What did the Raptors get from giving away their pick? This is just trolling at this point

Kyle Lowry. He should've been worth it, but Lowry's been bad this year.

He has been for the past half-decade.

Pros: OKC might get to draft someone
Cons: Draft this year is very weak.

Lowry has been great this year, overall. Admittedly I've only watched a few Raptors games, but he's having probably the best statistical season of his career (per-minute wise). He's just missed some games due to injury and Calderon has played great so he's only getting about 27 mpg.

18 and 8 w/ 1.7 STL per 36 min and 58% TS is damn good.

Giving up a lottery pick always hurts, but this year the draft is so bad this might end up being a good move. Only time will tell.

Is it suppose to be bad this year?

Two NBA scouts say the 2013 NBA Draft will be brutal, according to the Charlotte Observer.
Said one anonymous scout:
"I don’t think this is a good draft. This is the year you should consider trading your draft pick – no matter where it is."
That's bad news for the league's worst teams, which won't have the chance to land a franchise-changing player until at least 2014.
So why is the draft so bad?
One scout said it was because of the NBA's rule that players must attend college for at least one year. He said that rule has caused prospects to jump to the NBA immediately rather than stay in school, telling the Observer, "Now they think one season is the ceiling, not just the floor."

What's hilarious are the reports that we're going to deal Lowry.

You tell me the vision and strategy of someone who trades a lottery pick for a player, only to deal that player within the same season?

Compared to past drafts, yep. There is no Lebron, no DRose, no Anthony Davis, nothing like that. None of the top players (Nerlens Noel, Shabazz Muhamad, Ben McLemore, Zeller, etc) have the type of games that screams Can't Miss or even necessarily All-Star.

Since it's going to the Thunder you can guarantee it'll land on the highest pick they can get through protection
