Best fish fry's downtown? Kegel's Inn was suggested but that's by Miller Park. Thanks

Lakefront Brewery has a great one, if you can get in.

Whats your local course?
Abendschein in Oak Creek. It's a smaller course but easy to get an after work round in during the spring and fall. They recently changed it up a bit and added a few longer holes.

I live on KK and that's the best thing about it, all the great restaurants. Besides the ones you mentioned I had a great meal recently at Pastiche. And yeah the ones further north by Lulu- Odd Duck is incredible. Riviera Maya is good. The new GTO (Guanajuato) just opened a few days ago on Howell just south of Lincoln & a new Mexican place just opened in the former spot.

The food itself at Lakefront is completely forgettable but it's a cool place to go for the overall experience.
Turner Hall Restaurant just reopened late last year. I just read a review in Milwaukee Magazine. I haven't eaten there but you might want to give that a shot.
Brocach I think serves fish. They're decent.
O'Lydias is good, not technically downtown but real close.
Depends on how much of a radius we're talking here.

Sprecher has a "hard" root beer. I don't know about that one...
I really like this but I'm not a big beer drinker. They have it at Discount Liquor.

Salvatore's up for Best of Madison in the pizza category despite not even being in Madison. Great recognition for a place that's only been around for a year but makes some of the best pizza I've ever had in my life. I think I may even pick one up tonight. Maybe even this bad boy...
Tonight! Meyer lemon, farmer johns smoked Gouda, Speck( imported smoked prosciutto) SarVecchio, arugula and cracked pepper. A bit of sunshine if you will.

I agree, Salvatore's is probably the best pizza I've ever had.

This Salvatore's better be as good as you guys say, just booked a trip/hotel to Madison around Valentine's day for me and the fiance to come and enjoy some pizza and other things. The pizza is mostly what made us want to come though

Re: OT: Restaurant/Food/Beer Discussion
Well my fiance wanted to take a mini vacation in the near future and she loves Madison so it isn't all about the pizza but we both do enjoy a good pizza and it looks good enough.
I'm looking at the Fat Uncle Tony personally, fiance doesn't eat red meat so not sure what she will go for but we both are looking forward to the Smoky Cheese bread too.

You could check out either the Milwaukee Art Museum or the Harley-Davidson Museum, both of which open at 10AM.

If you guys make your way north, Brick's Neapolitan Pizza in Hudson, WI makes the best pizza I've ever had and it isn't close. I have to stop there every time I go to the Cities.

I may have to go and try that one of these weekends since I'm not too far away.
Anyone ever eat at Trattoria Stefano in Sheboygan? On the pricier side, but I thought it was damn good. They sen the wait staff for training in Italy, etc.

I don't get that way like ever anymore. Sister in law used to live over in the Menomonie area, but her husband got a job transfer. Looks like a good 'za, although I'll need to brush up on my Italian to order off the menu.
