i wonder if they goona blame kobes assist numbers for the lakers recent wins now. I thought it was his defense? why are they winning? these analyses are masters of the obvious ..its comedy. All of a sudden they start winning and they be like " I think they are goona turn it around" I could of told you that.

What prediction did I make? Kobe was playing some of the worst defense I've ever seen out of him (or any star perimeter player) and as a result we were getting burned. When he started playing better d, things worked out much better.

You disappear from threads like this when he plays crap defense, then after he starts playing better d, you appear and say "Ha ha ha how could you blame his defense" as if it's been amazing.

Try harder man

are you hand tracking those numbers minge or where are you getting them from?

anyways whats blatantly obvious is it doesnt matter if kobe's defense is good or bad, whats really a problem is outside of dwight theres not a single good defensive player on this team. metta is borderline, hes just far too inconsistent and really can not guard the star perimeter players anymore. you cant surround nash and kobe, two offensive superstars, with trash defensive players. it just wont work.

again, look at the thunder (a wonderfully built team). thabo, collison, ibaka, and yes even perkins- all strong defensive role players. **** even thabeet looks decent. meanwhile the lakers have jamison, duhon, meeks, metta and gasol. and i guess earl clark. yup, our savior earl clark.

his assists definitely have something to do with it.

It's more so that, when he does "chuck" or take a bad shot it leads to fast break opportunities for the opposing team, there's much less of them when he takes a good shot or gets to an open team mate.

This is misleading. Looks like you're just going over the opponents play by play and copying over whenever Kobe's name pops up.

his assists definitely have something to do with it.

It's more so that, when he does "chuck" or take a bad shot it leads to fast break opportunities for the opposing team, there's much less of them when he takes a good shot or gets to an open team mate.

When people use the word chuck to describe kobes shooting it is a red flag for me because more likely than not they are hating. Kobe can make those difficult shots consistently better than anyone else in the nba even at age 34. The thing is for me....why take those shots when you can obviously get better shots since you have the best footwork in the game? With the exception of cp3 kobe is the most skilled player in the league. To describe his shooting as chucking whether difficult or not is ignorant imo.

are you hand tracking those numbers minge or where are you getting them from?

I am watching the games and logging Kobe’s man/help D as well as Dwight’s and Pau’s touches. I also keep record of halftime and postgame reports or other miscellaneous graphics. I only refer to play by play data to check rebound records (at times, I forget time stamps) or for a particular player’s name.

It took a public outing to make Kobe play good, assertive D and what do you know? He's still one of the best in the league at Defense.
Don't be a jerk.

Great, so we've established that "why am I reading this again?" is a thing.

smh everybody on the team made mistakes on the defensive end against Denver and we single out just Kobe. AMAZING some of these people call themselves Lakerfans. Its obvious the biggest problem was our coach on a back to back ran an 8 man rotation with older legged players smh. All our younger atheltic legs were on the bench and he didnt even play them smh.

I was making a point against the dude who bumped thread 2 posts before me in case you didn't notice. As if a thread about Kobe's horrible defense made weeks/months ago is nullified and didn't make sense at the time because he's been playing better since then. So address your post towards him thanks
