LyricalRico wrote:^ Not sure it has to be that severe. I'm also not sure they could negotiate that into the new CBA. What about still reviewing the game after the fact for flops but retroactively assessing technicals? IIRC techs already come with fines, and the flops would contribute to individuals earning suspensions based on the current rules surrounding technical fouls.

Nah -- make it severe. Then put all the money into a pot -- sorta like the center of the board in Monopoly. Make it into a game show thing. Every time a D-leaguer signs a 10-day contract, he gets a chance to win the flopping fine money. Let him shoot a mid-court shot for all the money before his first game with the team.

How cool would that be? Collect money from all the floppers and then it goes to next year's version of Othyus Jeffers. If he can hit a halfcourt shot.

For more feel good stuff, here's what Knick's board fans had to say post game:

We gave 36.

johnnywishbone wrote:I think it's all pace. We are the oldest team, they are the youngest. Instead of slowing the game down and punishing them inside we went with our normal 28 3s (made 1/3 of them) and we let them make this into a foot race.
Bye bye Beal.

Sure and it was a fluke that when John came back Beal shot 60% from 3. And a fluke that since then Webster has found his 3pt shot, etc etc. The Knicks were collapsing all game to double JWall since they had no one fast enough to guard him, that leaves open shots outside. In the NBA even career-mediocre shooters can hit an open shot at a nice clip. Could just be that this team is better when John Wall is healthy, feeling good, and attacking the interior.
