Re: who do you want as our PG?
I dont get all the love for Eric Bledsoe. I know he was called "mini-Lebron" at a certain point but that is about his greatest career achievement to this point. Right now he is like a 16/5.5/5 guy per 36 on 52.3 TS%. I know he is athletic and has upside but anyone who breaks the bank for him is probably going to be overpaying given the number of capable PGs in the league.

Re: who do you want as our PG?
I just think Bledsoe is as much of an anomaly as Larry is, so lets get them on the same team and wreak some havok. Efficient Offense+Outstanding Defense is so much more fun to watch than Swag. Plus he can actually finish at the rim. As long as we don't give up Larry, I don't think we have the assets to give them anything that would be considered overpaying.

I think Teague would be a good option if all this MIL-ATL talk is legit. not a fan of bringing in josh smith but i guess it is better than us gaining nothing if BJ3 decides to leave.
Bledsoe would be alright I guess, but I think the Jazz and Celtics have more enticing offers than what the Bucks would offer to them

Reason being he's just not very good.
ETA-However if you're trading Daniels or Przy to get him I suppose there's no risk.

Re: who do you want as our PG?
Maynor never came back from his nasty ACL. He will be a league min FA next year.
Bledsoe is a terribly undersized 2 guard that plays point due to his size. His athleticism is right there with Westbrook. I don't understand people that say they don't want him. Over his last 3 starts (before CP3 came back) he avg 22.3ppg on 50% FG, 57% from 3, with 7.3asst, 4.7reb 3.0stl, 2.0bl.
If you don't want that tell me what you DO want. Because he just turned 23 and there isn't another player in the league close to those #s. His upside is tremendous. And he is making 2.6MM next year.

Whoa! He put up those numbers over as large of a sample size as 3 starts?!?!? Trade for this guy right now and do whatever it takes!

Lets grab Kobe Bryant. He is an all-timer. How many games out of his 1435 career games (incl playoffs) do you think he his those #s? I'm not asking for a 3 game stretch. I am asking how many games he hit those specific thresholds in his 1435 games. I'll even rd down to 22/7/4/3/2 on 50/57/??
Take a guess.

How many games has Bledsoe hit those specific thresholds? I think you know the answer.

Bledsoe put up 13 and 5 with 2.5 turnovers in 32 minutes a game as a starter on a sub .500 TS%. Take what you will from that, and I still like him, but with the price they're asking trading for Bledsoe is surely not a home run.

Looks like Steph Curry and Josh Smith each did it once, once.

All that shows is that Bledsoe can play at a high level at times which I have never denied. But if you look at this overall body of work and don't just cherry pick his best 3 game stretch of the year you will see that he isn't nearly as good, right now, as you believe him to be. Consistency very important.

Re: who do you want as our PG?
We don't have what it takes to get blesoe imo - too bad b/c he's more than a 3 game wonder. He leads most categories for the year among all the guys we have duscussed - see OP. If they do trade bled they could use a SG & backup C Maybe a 3 way w/ us sending Jennings & filler or Ersan to Orlando for Affalo and add Udoh & our 1st for bled & Odom

I put this in the other thread but I'll copy it here-
Bledsoe-
per36 15.9pts 5.5ast 2.7stl 1.4blk 5.2reb .453%/.429%/.798% TS%-.523
9 game stretch as a starter 15pts 5.8ast 2.4stl 1.6blk 4.7reb .400%/.400%/.806%
I thought that it was pretty interesting how close his numbers as a starter were to his per36 numbers

Re: who do you want as our PG?
I think most here advocating for Bledsoe are thinking he is the closest thing to what Harden was about two (three ?) years ago.
And if Hammonds feels the same, then do you really let your back up SF or PF or 1st round pick from getting him?
I think those that have been wishing we would just gamble and win just once, this might be the best shot.

Except that as you pointed out, his percentages plummeted.

I'm not sure why anyone would think that though. Harden's efficiency statistics were far and away better than Bledsoes. Bledsoe prior to this year really hasn't shown anything so to compare Harden and Bledsoe is wishful thinking.
