Except that as you pointed out, his percentages plummeted.

It was 12 games (not sure why I had 9 down earlier) but only 2 of those games were home games. Also two games were on the road against Minn where he went 1-7 and 3-14. I'd be willing to bet his shooting numbers would even out closer to his per36 with more games.

I want Jennings, a players peak/prime years are 22-28, I want to see what he has in him. The notion that he will get more then 4 yrs 40m is moronic, especially when you consider Rondo and Holiday make 11m per on their deals, and are both better players in the eye of almost everyone.

Maybe he does not get better, but at 9-10m per season, I know what the Bucks have in him, and 9-10m allows the Bucks to look for one or two players of equal or better talent then Brandon, and easily add them to the cap.

Bledsoe is a terribly undersized 2 guard that plays point due to his size. His athleticism is right there with Westbrook. I don't understand people that say they don't want him. Over his last 3 starts (before CP3 came back) he avg 22.3ppg on 50% FG, 57% from 3, with 7.3asst, 4.7reb 3.0stl, 2.0bl.

If you don't want that tell me what you DO want. Because he just turned 23 and there isn't another player in the league close to those #s. His upside is tremendous. And he is making 2.6MM next year.

Whoa! He put up those numbers over as large of a sample size as 3 starts?!?!? Trade for this guy right now and do whatever it takes!

Lets grab Kobe Bryant. He is an all-timer. How many games out of his 1435 career games (incl playoffs) do you think he his those #s? I'm not asking for a 3 game stretch. I am asking how many games he hit those specific thresholds in his 1435 games. I'll even rd down to 22/7/4/3/2 on 50/57/??

Take a guess.

The answer, by the way is

ZERO.

And if Hammonds feels the same, then do you really let your back up SF or PF or 1st round pick from getting him?

I think those that have been wishing we would just gamble and win just once, this might be the best shot.

I'm not sure why anyone would think that though. Harden's efficiency statistics were far and away better than Bledsoes. Bledsoe prior to this year really hasn't shown anything so to compare Harden and Bledsoe is wishful thinking.

The point was that some people feel he is the most acquirable player capable of being truly special.

Which is also greatly skewed because Bledsoe shot 7 threes and made 4. Not a single player could shoot that regularly, Bledsoe is certainly not the exception.

All that shows is that Bledsoe can play at a high level at times which I have never denied. But if you look at this overall body of work and don't just cherry pick his best 3 game stretch of the year you will see that he isn't nearly as good, right now, as you believe him to be. Consistency very important.

You misunderstand me. I don't think he is that great. He turns the ball over too much and is not comfortable running a team. But he is barely 23 and his athleticism is mindblowing; if he puts it together (no guarantee there) he could be an ELITE NBA player. And guys with that type of upside are rarely on the market. All the people around here want to blow the team up in the small hope of getting a guy that has a high ceiling like that.

I hear you. It is just that a lot of PGs have put on performances like this early in their careers(Aaron Brooks and Darren Collison a few years back come to mind) only to go back to being just good and not really great. With that in mind I certainly would not mind trading for Bledsoe but we need to be cautious about using all of our assets for someone who in all likelihood will be a pretty replaceable player.

Oof. Have you seen Bledsoe? I mean play a full game this year with CP3 out. There is no physical comparison to Brooks and Collison. He is EXPLOSIVE. HE is the guy your eye is drawn to. He is Westbrook without the brakes. Does that make him a sure thing? Of course not. But it makes him a better bet than anyone who doesn't have his athleticism, someone that hasn't made enormous leaps in play every year.

Right. Bledsoe is definitely more athletic than those two. My point is that we have seen point guards somewhere in their 2nd-5th seasons in the league put up some pretty impressive flash in the pan performances.

I would not hate trading for Bledsoe as I do think he has upside but I am not as sold on him given his total body of work as some may be. This is especially true in a league with a ton of capable PGs.

We have seen great statistical performances but we haven't seen the physical dominations that he has thrown out on occasion. There is a big difeerence between having a few hot games and being bigger, stronger, faster than the guys you are playing against. That makes it far more likely to continue production.

But yes, I get that there are a LOT of good PGs in the league and none of them have had tremendous postseason success.

If only eagle..

I think we need to come to terms with the fact Jennings is going to be here beyond next year unfortunately.

Real nice trades though. Specially the one getting Bledsoe here.
