Their stupid zone defenses always give us trouble, even though we usually win.

Bucks should absolutely trade up for Marcus Smart.

Rumor; UNC offered to join the B10, Virginia would be next. Supposedly, the only thing they are waiting on before accepting is to see what Maryland's buyout is like. They would each reportedly earn $20 - $30M more in the B16 than in the ACC, once there are new TV deals in place.

P.S. I **** called this from a mile away. I said UNC and Virginia were next the day the Maryland/Rutgers rumor broke.

Yeah there have been rumors like this for a while. Not sure Virigina adds all that much. Makes a Tony Bennett to Wisconsin move less likely though. Coach K is going to lose his **** if this goes down. First Maryland, now UNC.

Oh man I hope UNC joins to make Krzyzewski look like a bigger jackass than he is.

“We don’t look at rivalries. We look at each opponent the same,” Krzyzewski said. “I’ve said that every time I’ve come here. I have a great deal of respect for Maryland. If it was such a rivalry they’d still be in the ACC.
“Obviously they don’t think it’s that important, or they wouldn’t be in the Big Ten. I respect their basketball program and the job their coaches have done and their players have done over the years. We’ve had some great games with them, but we have great games against a lot of people. A lot of people want to beat us, and they’re one of them.”

I've heard whispers here and there since December, but it seems to be gaining momentum. Someone at Rivals has a friend who works for ESPN that tipped him on the Maryland / Rutgers deal, and did so again with this. I didn't realize this broke as a story a few days ago, though. I've been so busy I haven't been able to keep up with things as I usually do.

Re: OT - General College Basketball
All I'm saying is at least give the player an extra foul if the game goes to overtime. Additional period = additional foul. It's logical. Marcus Smart fouling out in 2OT was garbage.
I'm over it.

Refs just put a quick 3 fouls on Smart. Awesome. 2.5 minutes into the game.

Maybe he shouldn't foul so much and maybe his coach should've taken him out when he got 2.

This. Sorry Nebs. Your foul obsession is getting worse.

It's not getting worse. It's always the same. Fouls are largely subjective and for Smart, many calls just come from playing hard. OSU still got it done.
Watching this Syracuse game now.

Porter with 63% of Georgetown's points about to beat Cuse on the road. A studly 3 point play to put the game away.

FWIW DX has the Bucks taking Porter in the draft and I would be totally okay with that.

Re: OT - General College Basketball
Is is possible that Porter going to be a tweener though? I haven't watched him play so I'm wondering if his athleticism definitely makes him a wing. This comment is probably going to show my ignorance about him but from reading his scouting reports I'm wondering if his "solid athleticism" makes him a potential Jeff Green reincarnated and not just because he plays at Georgetown.
